About this house rental
Enjoy privacy and the (heated) swimming pool during your holiday in this imposing 1892 holiday home. The castle is located behind the house and the countess still lives there. What a beautiful place! You can walk to the bakery, which also serves as a mini market, in a few minutes. Moreover, there are plenty of beautiful walking routes that lead you through the beautiful region from the village square. Fancy some Burgundian food? Take a trip to the vineyards of Mâcon or to Beaune and the Route des Grands Crus to taste the best wines and visit great restaurants, including 2 Michelin-starred ones within a 20 km radius. Or buy fresh local produce at one of the markets in the area and enjoy a barbecue evening at the cottage. Enjoy fresh croissants and baguettes on the terrace under the trees. This mansion was once part of the Château de Martigny. The house has a typical French atmosphere and is ideal for 2 families. It is located among the hills in the quiet village of Martigny le Comte. The swimming pool with roller shutter and swimming ladder (9 m x 4 m, 1.5 m deep) is open when the weather permits. In cold years, the pool may take a little longer to open.
For reasons of tranquillity, this holiday home will not be rented to groups of youngsters
Reservations for groups of persons under 25 years of age are not permitted
It is strictly forbidden to organise any student party, bachelor party or drinking party in this house

Het huis is rustig gelegen; van kerkklokken, verkeer of de in de buurt gelegen school hebben wij geen last gehad. Het uitzicht vanuit de tuin / het zwembad is prachtig. Het zwembad en de gerenoveerde badkamer op de benedenverdieping zijn uitstekend. Voor het overige maakt het huis en de buitenruimte (behalve het zwembad) een rommelige, tot zeer rommelige indruk. De verblijfsruimten, keuken en slaapkamers zijn dringend aan een opknapbeurt toe. Rommel (o.a. klusspullen in de hal, oude buitenstoelen en kapot tafeltje in de tuin) is door de verhuurder niet opgeruimd en de bbq is onbruikbaar door ouderdom. Verder zijn er te veel privé zaken van de verhuurder aanwezig ( in keuken, badkamer en kasten bv) zodat er soms niet voldoende ruimte is voor de eigen meegebrachte zaken.

Het vakantiehuis in Martigny Le Compte ligt in een klein rustig dorpje, een mooie groene bosrijke streek. Het huis, met heel wat authentieke elementen, biedt alle comfort. Je kan buiten onder een grote boom tafelen. We hebben genoten van de verfrissing en ontspanning in het iets hoger gelegen zwembad. Er staan 4 comfortabele ligzetels en grote parasols. Het onthaal was vriendelijk. We kregen voldoende uitleg en bij vragen of problemen konden we bij het "onthaalkoppel" (fr.) steeds terecht. Wie van wandelen en/of fietsen komt zeker aan zijn trekken. In de omgeving zijn er veel pittoreske dorpjes/stadjes zoals Charolles, Cluny, Pouilly (bekend om zijn wijnen, de rots van Solutré -> het beklimmen waard)... Daar het een wijnstreek kom je regelmatig een wijnhuis met proefmogelijkheid tegen. In de buurt zijn er kasteelruïnes (oa in het middeleeuws dorp Brancion), interessante kastelen omringd door uitgestrekte parken zoals Digoine, Cormatin,... en abdijen (oa Tournus) te bezoeken. Na soepele reis lag sleutel cfm afspraak klaar en lagen we al snel in prachtige zwembad. Omgeving is wat kaal en leeg.
