Villa Irene Apartments

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is beautiful, spotlessly clean and located in a lovely building in a very quiet environment, while still being extremely close to the city centre. The host was exceptionally responsive, friendly and helpful throughout our stay, assisting with everything we needed and making us feel very welcome. Gave us a brilliant advice on what to visit. We would happily stay here again and would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the area.

We were a family of 4, all adults and had a beautiful stay. The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. It was very spacious and comfortable. There was an elevator and a parking space (both hard to find in the areas near Venice), as well as a balcony. The location was excellent for us, it took only 4-5 minutes on foot to reach the Mestre Centro stop and take the 4L bus that drove straight to Venice. The neighbourhood was quiet and safe, there was a nice square with cafes, shops and a supermarket really close and the Mestre center a little further away, all at walking distance. Thank you for the hospitality Aldo!

We would have liked a couple of chairs and a small table on the balcony, as it was nice to sit outside, but no big deal...

Aldo is a lovely host and was very easy to communicate with. The property is in a great location, with easy access to bus from airport and into Venice itself. There is a lovely square nearby with lots of food/drink options.

The downstairs neighbour was a pain. We completely respected the quiet hours, and weren’t in for a lot of the time. However, when we were in and getting ready he would constantly ring the doorbell to say we were too loud. There were 4 of us in total in the apartment, and obviously conversations can carry, but he threatened to call the police when we showed him the quiet hours sign and said we were outside of those timings. He then put his TV on loudly enough that you could hear it above our conversations…

- Good location. Around 300 meters from tramway and bus station. 20 minutes ride to old city. - Two big bedrooms. - Air conditioning and heating.

- Dirty, uncleaned kitchen. We had to boil all cutlery to be able to use them. - No kettle. We had to boil water for tea in a pot. - Very worn pans. We had pieces of Teflon in our scrambled eggs for breakfast. - Not enough cups and glasses for 4 people. - No microwave. - Very uncomfortable and creaking beds. - No batteries in remote controls for TV tuner & air conditioning. - Built-in electrical outlets not compatible with modern plugs. It was hard to use phone or laptop chargers.
