About this house rental
Hello, and Welcome to Camp Sassy! Feel free to use all our amenities in the kitchen. Our water comes from a Dug Well, but it is filtered and sanitized via a UV light from Culligan, and the water has been tested bacteria free and safe for consumption. Be that as it may, we still offer premium spring water in the water cooler that gets delivered from Culligan, feel free to drink that and use for cooking and coffee or tea!
There is WiFi, the password is hanging on the closet (closet is owners’ closet and remains locked) We have RING cameras on the lights outside the house, there are NO cameras or “listening devices” inside the camp. There are (2) two Televisions, both equipped with Netflix, HBO MAX, Disney+, ESPN+, The Roku Channel, and Amazon Prime. There is a lock preventing any purchasing of content. Outside there is our Fire pit there are many places close by that sell wood of you need it. Also, we have a propane gas grill for you to enjoy, you may need to use a match to light it.
Please use 2 black garbage cans outside for your garbage and all recyclables can go in the black can labeled recyclable. There are extra garbage bags under the kitchen sink. The Dock is down Thompson rd. (Apr 430 feet away) and the steps are at the end of the rd. to the right. This is a great place to swim or fish. Also, the Caroga Lake State campground is just over a mile away at 3043 NY-29A, Gloversville, NY 12078 where you can enjoy a bath house with showers, a sandy beach, and Charcoal BBQ grills. Also, in the opposite direction there is Pine Lake beach, but they do charge admission per person.

Walk to the lake from this off lake cottage! This Adirondack sided cottage has new windows, an updated kitchen and bath. There is plenty of living space a large room currently the dining room. A wood stove accents the living room area with sliding glass doors. Upstairs is a large bedroom and a 2nd walk-thru bedroom. There is a propane wall heater and this cottage is fully insulated from floor to ceiling. The shared lake access is a short walk away, it is a slope down to a dock, use of row boat provided.
There is a newly renovated Caroga Bike trail, plenty of hiking trails close by, and close to bars and restaurants. Also, in the Summer on Friday nights we are a mile away from the Rodeo
There is no 'beach' area. If you want to play on a beach you can go over and enjoy the NYS Caroga Lake Campground beach! and have a sandy beach with life guard, BBQ grills, bath houses and a beautiful area to relax for the day. The campground has a boat launch and they also Rent boats! Nick Stoner Golf course is just up the road, miles of hiking trails along with skiing, snowmobiling and fishing year round! Come play in the Adirondacks, with our 4 seasons of outdoor pursuits in Caroga Lake

We enjoyed our stay at camp Sassy. The camp is very cute. I love all the furniture it adds an extra woodsy feel to your stay. Adam was very attentive and answered messages right away. He even told us about fireworks that were happening in town while we were there. I only wish we had known about the incline to the water access and that there were 2 boats on the dock. Made it hard to get down there with all our stuff and then difficult to fish which is what we wanted to do. We ended up going to the state park the next day and had a nice day. All in all it was a very nice, relaxing weekend away.

Our stay was great and the cabin was very functional, however the cabin is not where it was originally listed as being located when we made the reservation. Our original search indicated the cabin was .2 miles from a family's cabin, but in reality upon receipt of the address, it turned out to be 8 miles away.

Great little camp but kitchen not very well equipped for cooking at home for your family. Lack of cookware made for a difficult situation. Also the picture of camp sassy misleads you to believe the dock is on the property which it wasn't. All the TV channels listed on vrbo with camp sassy didn't work almost all 4 nights there. Was alot less than advertised in ad. Great bunch of people who own camps around there though.
