Beautiful place to stay, well designed and magical location.

Fatastic! It is such an experience to stay in a windmill. We stayed on the second floor and the room was modern comfortable and well equipped. Absolutely remarkable and recommended!

Be prepared to climb mill type stairs.

The windmill, has with the passage of time, been 'surrounded' by light industrial units, which detracts slightly from the otherwise impressive building, but with an open vista on the front of the canal. There are no local shops, so take everything you need. There are lots of original features and it appears that some milling takes place once per week (not when we were there unfortunately). The beds were comfortable and the shower was very good. The kitchen was well equipped, but a microwave would be handy. The stairs are very steep, so only take the minimum upstairs. The grandkids enjoyed hauling up the few bits we needed for an overnight stay. Would have liked to stay longer. Who doesn't want to stay in a windmill!

Only one slight problem, The heating wasn't on when we arrived and only half of the radiators worked, so we never really got it up to a reasonable temperature. This was only a problem because we arrived in the cold weather just as a the hailstones started.
