We would have appreciated a more modern tv that would have allowed screen mirroring with our computer.

Excellent stay in a beautiful, old building

We loved this spacious and comfortable apartment and also enjoyed the small, courtyard space. It is in a beautiful old building that has been sensitively and stylishly converted by the owners. Paul met us at the property and was helpful and friendly. The location is perfect in a quiet, central street. Highly recommended.

Big property close to historic center.

Big property only a 5 minute walk from the historic center and waterfront. Host very good and on time meeting us to collect keys and explain everything. There was a garage about 150 meters away where we could securely store our bicycles. Nice to have a washing machine and nice big bathroom. Separate toilet in the bedroom which was handy as a few steps inside the house to get to the other toilet during the night. Outside area within 4 walls but good to dry laundry . Nice and quiet during the night.

The stairs from the front door to the apartment are steep and inside the house there was a tiny step towards the bedrooms but we missed that one a few times. We had to take off the sheets ourselves before we left . Thought that was strange as never had to do that before in a house/ apartment we stayed in.

Wonderfully appointed apartment. Had storage for our bikes. Perfect for our multi-day stay while we explored Auxerre and surrounding regions. Stairs to apartment might be a problem for people with mobility issues.

Delightful apartment in an historic building.

Beautiful apartment in a great location. Loved all the stained glass and the castle staircase. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need for, in our case, 5 people. Valerie, our host, gave great instructions and helped us when we arrived early.

Beautiful place in Auxerre town centre

Location was amazing, apartment has all modern cons, and is very nicely done up. Beds are very comfortable. The town centre is less than 10mins walk , there's a boulangerie for breakfast 2 mins away which is super handy. We did not get to meet the owner but this did not impact our arrival/departure. We were sad to leave and would definitely come back.

Some confusion around the bins (manual says to bring them to a container, but we never found them. Turns out there was no need, the manual should be updated).

Historic stay in a historic town

Wonderful apartment in the heart of the centre of Auxerre old town . Ground floor apartment with modern facilities and 2 bedrooms with full kitchen and clothes washing machine. The upper floors of the building above are part of the historic tourist walking trail and we often had tourists taking photos that we enjoyed. we felt privileged to stay in such a historic building

Very good

Well furnished apartment in the old part of the city. Easy walking distance from all the beautiful sights including walks along the river. Very comfortable, large beds and lots of hot water for showers. Large apartment for 2 people.

Although the apartment is old and has lots of character, there is not much natural light as there are only 2 quite small windows for the whole apartment. The only toilet is in a cupboard under the stairs and the shower room is also small. We found the apartment quite cold in the evenings (late September).

What a magnificent apartment! It is located in a very old house and delicately renovated. The place is spacious. You find yourself in the old town, centrally located. Still, there is a parking lot close by.

If there are neighbours in the apartment above, you can hear them. If they do not lower their voices, you can even follow their conversation.

Unusual but lovely

Lots of space and close to river.

The parking is quirky for someone from England. There is lots of in-street parking around the property, just not on the street it’s on. Be aware that the machines do not give out a ticket and once you have paid, you can park anywhere up to four hours. There are car parks too but just not as handy as the on-street if you’re willing to pay.

Smooth checkin, charming building, nice apartment space, perfect location to explore the city center. We staid one night.

Charming old building, which implies insulation is not great. Not a big problem, but if you have chatty upper neighbours (as we had), you’ll find out soon enough.

Everything. From rhe friendly on the spot welcome to the whole look and feel of a lovely medieval house combined witt great taste and style in modern fittings.A perfect mix of old and new.
