Lovely location but cannot recommend

Wonderful location under the Abbey and in the old part of town down by the river. Headline price is very reasonable - though see notes below on disappointments.

Given COVID, we would have expected a much more thorough standard of cleaning and hygiene than we experienced. No precautions were taken regarding the entrance hall and doors shared with the other apartment. IN fact, no advice whatsoever was provided about COVID precautions relating to the rental. Apart from that, the place is rather poorly lit and uncongenial. A big drawback if you are more than a couple is that there is only one bed - the second bed is the sofa and it is cheap and nasty: our friend did not sleep at all. Generally, the place looks much better in the photos than it does in reality. Sorry, but I would not recommend.

A great place to stay, light airy, warm, well equipped and fabulously located for visiting Auxerre.

Self catering, so breakfast question is irrelevant. The location was perfect for the churches we wished to visit. That's why we chose this apartment. It was a lovely space to be in, warm and well equipped. Good information provided for guests.

We didn't like the pillows - just solid foam! Otherwise the place was fabulous. One of us was reduced to using a towel as a pillow!

sehr schöner moderner Stil in einem historischen Fachwerkbau, tolle Ausstattung, perfekte Lage. Extrem fitte Vermieterin. Draußen war es sehr heiß, im Apartment hatte es ein sehr angenehmes Raumklima.

Sehr schöne gut ausgestattete Wohnung in einem wunderbar renovierten Haus. Das Schlafzimmer ist zum Hof und deshalb sehr ruhig. Das Bett war super.

Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtete und großzügige Wohnung, in der wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Gut ausgestattete Küche. Nahe am Zentrum und trotzdem sehr ruhig. Sehr freundlicher Kontakt mit dem Gastgeber. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
