We absolutely loved our stay at Casacuadra Cavana in the historic center of Trieste. From the moment we walked into Casa Corti, a beautiful 19th-century building, we knew this was going to be a special place. What makes this apartment unique is its character. The incredible library filled with Italian literature, cinema, history, and Agatha Christie novels creates an atmosphere you rarely find in a holiday apartment. It brought us back in time in the best possible way. We found ourselves slowing down, making an espresso with the Illy coffee machine, browsing the books, and simply enjoying being there. The apartment is beautifully designed with warm wood floors, colorful lighting, original artwork, and thoughtful details that reflect Trieste’s rich literary and coffee culture. It was spotless, spacious, quiet, and had everything our family needed. Our son immediately felt comfortable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The location is perfect. We walked everywhere, including Piazza Unità d’Italia, the Grand Canal, the waterfront, excellent restaurants, cafés, and all the beautiful streets of the Cavana district. If you’re looking for an authentic apartment in Trieste rather than a standard vacation rental, this place is a hidden gem. We would happily stay here again.

Very little. Parking in the historic center takes a little planning, but that’s true for most places in central Trieste and is a small trade-off for such an amazing location.

Daniela was very helpful and caring.. She shared good tips for sightseeing and restaurants. Location is well located near the harbour, Eatitaly and Piazza unita d'Italia. Appartment is well equipped and has a convenient size for us three. Garage is available in the house.
