Space, glorious space!
Space, glorious space! A space to hang our coats and day packs, to open our suitcases, to put our things in every room, to sleep in separate rooms, to safely park our car and not worry about itâŠyes!
After weeks of traveling together it was wonderful to be able to spread out. The pull down bed in the living room was worth the little extra expense for a good nightâs sleep and so much more comfortable than a traditional sofa bed. And easy to convert back if more sitting space was needed.
Also worth it was the parking expense. We spent time enjoying Trieste instead of hunting for parking.
Daniela was a delight! Helping with parking the car, showing us around the apartment and enthusiastically sharing information about local sights, including the all-important best places to get gelato!! She even texted us after our first night to check on us. We would absolutely stay here again!

Modern and centrally located
Daniela initiated communication with us via WhatApps soon after our booking was made. Daniella went out of her way to host us before the usual check-in time. We also opted to use the parking garage. She took the initiative to show us around the apartment and provided some helpful tips for sightseeing. Her apartment is modern and cleverly uses space (e.g., the pull-down double bed). It is centrally located and within walking distance to a lively pedestrian area with cafes, bars, stores, and restaurants. Daniella remotely controls the heating and was very responsive to our requests for heating adjustments.

A cosy place
Great location in the center, very clean, cosy and good equipped apartment, very comfortable bed, friendly hostes, an option to rent a garage place in the same house, pet friendly
The garage entrance door is extremely narrow. If your car has no foldable mirrors, it won't fit. Heating automatically turned on and off, so it was cold at times

Large apartment for 2-3 people, with separate kitchen snd all typical appliances. Clean, comfortsble, despite ext. temperatures reaching 33 degrees it was pleasant inside. Smart TV is very welcome, can watch streaming services. Location is pretty much perfect - fuve minutes walk and you're on the seaside, but at the same time away from city noise.
Garage has door so narrow that my car (which is a compact) had 1cm of soace from each side after folding the mirrors. Stressful, and stress is not welcome while on vacation.

Refreshed in Trieste
Gorgeous well maintained cosy apartment in a good area of the city with loads of travel options. Really friendly locals and fab bakery, delis, and cafes within a minutes walk.
Super helpful host who was well stocked with helpful tips on places to go and what to do.
The rain on 2 days was annoying. But the cafes and restaurants were able to carry on regardless and were hospitable and friendly.

Home away from home
The location of the apartment is excellent, in a quiet neighbourhood yet not more than a hundred meters away from Via di Cavana and Via Torino where we enjoyed great food and drinks. Beautiful Trieste riva is also just a short stroll away, as well as the pedestrian and shopping areas.
The apartment itself is extremely functional, fully equipped with all the necessities a traveler may need - and more. The space is beautifully and cleverly designed, functional, using the real good quality materials. To me, calling the Casacuadra Cavana apartment "home away from home" is the best way to describe it.
Last but not least, Daniela has been an amazing host to us, kind and helpful.

Good
The apartment is perfectly located, and well furnished with everything you might need. The building itself is old and very beautiful.
The apartment is not really designed to be an apartment, thus the "bedroom" is not really a bedroom. It is a space carved out from part of the living room.
We had an extremely unpleasant interaction with the landlady. It started during the preliminary direct contacts regarding the arrival, while the consignment of the keys went smoothly. On the day of departure we had a very bad experience, which ended with us being insulted personally by the landlady. Without going into the details, we can say that there were some disagreements between us and her, and she handled the situation in the worse possible way. Anger, insults, accusations and threats on her behalf, both in oral and written form, left us struck with dismay, and saddened.
I have travelled solo and with family, professionally and for privata reasons more than one hundred times in the past decade and I never had a complaint. The very few problems I had were handled very professionally and gracefully by all previous hosts.
Overall, I cannot tell if this was an isolated incident but I strongly advise anybody who wishes to sojourn in the apartment to be very precise and clear in every mutual agreement with the host, and perhaps take pictures on arrival.

The owner is very helpful and friendly. She gave us a detailed map and recommended places where to eat, where is the best ice cream... The apartment was clean and has enough space for us (2 adults with 2 children). The location it has is very good because we were able to walk everywhere.
The port is near and there are a lot of restaurants too which generate some noise. The lack of air-conditioning we have to open the windows at night and the the small street stenghtened the noise when a motorbike or some people went there. It was loud. I was affraid to park in the private parking garage, the entrance seemed to be narrow.

* Location: it is located in lovely and safe neigbourhood close to main square, Eataly is juts around the corner, also bakery and cofee shop. As a single woman safety of location is very important to me. This apartment is placed next to the governmental building, so there is no need to worry about safety. It is also a very quiet building â during a week stay there was no sound from other people and also sound from the street si minimal as it is not on the main road. Perfect for someone who appreciate good sleep and being in the city centre at the same time. Just a walk and you are at the heart of Trieste, at the marina.. perfect!
* The coziness of the apartment. I Loved the aesthetic part of the apartment. Not just that everything is as new and perfectly clean (towels smell so nice!!) the dynamic in place combined with very nice materials (really fine wood everywhere) which gives you really good vibes. And books? have I mentioned a million books everywhere? This is like a dream place for book worms. With that soft couch, you just want to stay there, drink espresso and read books all day long.
* Feels like home. I really like apartments that give you a »home vibe« without being too personal. This is it. You have every appliance you need in the kitchen (washing machine, microwave, stoveâŠ), bathroom (drying fan, ..)⊠Also every essential ingredients are there, like coffee, sugar, salt, oil.
* Great place for remote office: If you need to work on your vacation, this apartment gives you everything you need. Separate cabinet with desk and super speed internet. You will fall in love with your job while working remotely from here. :) Combining a remote job with an Italian atmosphere = perfect.
* Super nice and helpful owner Daniela. If you need someone to give you advice on the best coffee, dinner, or shopping... She is there for you 24/7. Lovely and helpful.
Bottom line: I loved this place and will come again soon.
Parking is difficult in Trieste and you can park in the apartment's garage for a surcharge. The garage is super nice as it is below the apartment and you have direct access from inside also. The problem occurs if you have fixed side mirrors or a bigger car. Garage doors are really really narrow so they don't necessarily fit every car. I had to leave car on the street.

Terrific spot in Trieste, would stay here every time I visit.
Location was great--with cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, and key spots at your footsteps. The apartment itself was super clean, on a quiet street despite the central location, and I appreciated the modern facilities. My partner and I worked from home during the day and there was enough space for both of us. I also loved being able to soak in the tub!
The bed is a little stiff but after a week you get used to it.

Das wunderschöne Appartement ist mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet und noch mehr!
Die Lage ist sehr zentral - ein paar Schritte und man ist mitten im Geschehen... Und doch ist kaum Verkehr - es ist sehr ruhig dort. Einen Parlplatz fanden wir direkt vor dem Hauseingang.
Wir haben es sehr genossen - klare 100% Empfehlung!

Struttura ben posizionata, pulitissima e fornita di tutto. Un valore aggiunto il garage allâinterno del palazzo. Daniela cortese e disponibile ci ha dato suggerimenti molto apprezzati su luoghi da visitare e ristoranti, brava!
Forse un poâ ingannevole la dicitura di due camere, mentre Ăš una camera e una zona giorno; in ogni caso molto confortevole!

Appartamento molto confortevole, arredato con gusto, anche nei minimi dettagli. Viene prestata molta attenzione alle necessitĂ di chi soggiorna, garantendo il massimo, cosa questa non scontata e che certamente favorisce piacevolmente una vacanza. Inoltre, Daniela, la proprietaria, si preoccupa di fornire, carinanente e con discrezione, suggerimenti utili alla conoscenza di luoghi, locali, musei, antichi bar di Trieste, cittĂ che quindi si scopre meravigliosa, unica sempre, in ogni stagione. L'appartamento Ăš a due passi dal centro. Nello stesso tempo Ăš situato in una via tranquillissima. Pertanto costituisce la sistemazione ideale, considerata l'eccezionalita' dei suoi requisiti. Soggiornare a Casacuadra Ăš stato un pĂČ come stare a casa nostra; ci siamo sentiti a nostro agio sin da subito.
Daniela Ăš un'host fantastica; precisa, puntuale, disponibile, sempre presente ma mai invadente. La sua cagnolina Chicca poi, Ăš un vero amore!
I punti di forza dell'appartamento sono la posizione strategica a due passi dal centro ma lontano dal traffico, la silenziositĂ , il senso di comfort complessivo, gli spazi interni ben organizzati, la cura per ogni aspetto o dettaglio e sicuramente la pulizia.
Il letto e i cuscini sono comodissimi e il profumo di tutta la biancheria Ăš qualcosa che abbiamo apprezzato molto.
Torneremo sicuramente, sperando di trovare Casacuadra libera, visto che Ăš un "gioiello" nel cuore di Trieste.
