Lovely greeting from Sue, who showed me round and where to park. Whilst small, it has everything you need and modern.
Bed was really comfortable, the house was so clean, wifi and tv had netflix. The neighbourhood was really quiet.
Lovely thought with the fresh bread, butter, and ask about getting milk for me.
I'm definatley going back, it was perfect for working in the area.

Lovely weekend, accommodation was great and we appreciated the kind gestures of milk, bread and tea. Situated well for visiting the Lake District, pubs and nearby shops.
Hosts upon arrival were pleasant however, when I left to get dinner in my casual clothes (black trainers and trackies, my hiking soft shell and a baseball cap), after clearly stereotyping, one of the owners aggressively knocked on the door and rudely accused me of being a drug dealer to my other half after explaining they’ve had problems in the past. We completely understand however, if they’d gone about the situation differently they’d find out I’m in the RAF and my partner is training to be in the Police. Both anti drugs. This put a downer on our trip as we felt permanently watched after that. After the incident when we would see the owners, there was no contact or speech just stares as we’d awkwardly park in the blocked lane. To reference a previous review the parking situation was quite frustrating (pictures to follow). Whilst we understand the roads were narrow and the owners aren’t in control of this, we’d have appreciated easier access to the allocated parking space. Through the weekend our access and exit would be blocked by a black work van parked in the lane, which they were aware of. All in all was a great trip and enjoyed ourselves however, wouldn’t recommend to the ages of 18-25 to avoid stereotyping. Bizarre.
