Excellent stay, great host and fantastic pool

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Senator Hotel. Met by our host, who was extremely helpful with practical help, tips and ideas of how to get the best out of our trip. The hotel was clean, tidy and had all we needed. The pool area was brilliant and a real sun trap. Uber is available and we used it to get into Split, a ten minute ride, costing €10-15 Numerous bars & restaurants in Podstrana, lovely little resort Highly recommended

Everything was clean and host was great. Breakfast was good. Location was very good also; only about 500m from beach and resturants.

Pit stop going back to Dubrovnik from Plitvice

Nice swimming pool and great breakfast (huge variety of fresh fruits, 🥗,...). Some rooms are enjoying a nice view on the sea, which is really a plus while staying there! Free parking

The room lacked of furnitures ... It seems B&B Senator was a former hotel transformed in guest house without personnel staying there... A bit like a "ghost hotel". Some rooms seem to be refurnished and renovated but others not... just painted with a bed & 2 night tables... The bathroom was horrible... and really needs a refresh!

Great hotel option for the area

Very comfortable, clean, good breakfast and lovely people working there. Free parking, a short walk to the beach and restaurants, the pool with a great view is a plus, as was the room balcony.

It was a little dated in places but had everything needed. Not the hotel’s fault but the area is a little quiet with not much to do. Close to Split though and a good base.

Peaceful stay with great views and good location

Really warm welcome from the owner who explained well about the local area. Free towels provided for use at pool or beach. Pool was always nice and quiet with great sea views

Quiet, peaceful, great location and lovely rooms with a spacious balcony and comfy beds. Pool was great to cool down in. Close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants.

The structure was very clean and well-maintained, creating a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with a smile. One of the highlights was definitely the beach – just a few steps away, making it super convenient. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway!

Great stay, would recommend..

Really nice place to stay, traditional setting, we had 3 nights here and loved the pool area, nice beach and bath towels provided, really comfortable bed with crisp linen, spacious room and a comfortable large terrace to sit and relax in the evenings, good supermarket 2 minute walk, 5-10 minute walk to the beach with plenty of nice restaurants and bars and the best sunset, very helpful English speaking hosts, plenty of choice for breakfast.. bus service very good to split and omis, definitely recommend, only 3€ each and very regular..

The bathroom let it down.. small and dated, the shower a tight fit and I’m only small but it was very clean..

Very enjoyable stay in a great location.

Was in a great location to beach, shop and bus stop to split and Omiš. Breakfast was lovely. Property was very clean. It was so quiet both outside and inside. Air conditioning worked well appreciated in hot weather. Good to have a fridge in the room.

The room was on fourth floor with no elevator and was quite small and bit run down. The bed sheet was not clean. Pool also had quite a few bugs. May be lower floors are better.

Top value for money

The rooms were well laid out, a great size, with plenty of towels. All three of our rooms had balconies with great views. The pool area was clean, with sun beds and soft furnishings too. Breakfast was varied and there was plenty of it…cereals, cold meats, yoghurts, fruit and more. An offer of freshly cooked eggs was also made each morning. The staff were attentive and friendly whilst also giving space for us to enjoy the accommodation as a home away from home. The place is a max. 10 minute walk from the beach and a multitude of places to eat, drink, sunbathe as well as supermarkets. Phenomenal value for money. It is impossible to find anything negative to say.

All in all, great place to stay. Good host and helped with every question and thing we needed. Good healthy breakfast. Room was clean and big. Lot of storage in room. Shower was clean. Big bed and comfy. Lots of parking spaces. Shop 20meters from them. Busses are close also.

Very good B&B close to the sea

The host were really really nice and kind. We were picked up at the airport and due to our whole plane's luggage being forgotten in Germany, they had to wait a long time for us to get out. I really appreciated the patience. The location was calm and close to the sea, the B&B had towels that we could take to the sea. I really liked the options at the breakfast buffet. It was technically well connected to the centre as the bus stop was only a couple of minutes walking distance from the accommodation (practically the bus got stuck in the traffic at certain times so you had to be patient - which obviously doesn't have anything to do with the accommodation this is just for information).

The bathroom didn't have a space to put a lot of things or even hang the towels, which was a bit of an inconvenience. The interior in general was quite old-fashioned or basic but that wasn't a surprise as you could see it in the photos before.

amazing location!! great restaurants close by and walking along the beach is so beautiful! good grocery stores close by and great bakery too. we absolutely loved the owner, he was super helpful and always was able to answer our questions. he went above and beyond to help us learn more about activities to do, as well as preparing us lunch one day for when we went on a boat tour! would absolutely go back there when we come back to Croatia!

Just the fact that he gave me the last floor room which is fine but i have large suit case with me so no lift just little bit disappointing by that cuz there was rooms not booked in it wasn't busy the time i went but the area is like 30minute by bus location just fine 5 min walk for bus stop and beach side

Fantastic stay, ideal location for a short break.

Our host was very helpful and friendly. He showed us our room on arrival and also tips on the local area. He advised where to park in Split for the best deal, restaurant recommendations and travel times to different places. The breakfast was amazing. it definitely exceeded our expectations.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Must add that we left a pair of binoculars behind and they found it and helped with them being returned to us through a Croatian friend

The only thing is that there is no lift but it did not matter much to us. However the hotel is going to be refurbished soon so it would be a good idea to include it in the refurbishment

Our stay was great, the owners are very friendly and the hotel in general is nice.

The place was great, very nice and clean facilities and rooms. The breakfast was good, with different choices from the chef. The staff/owners were really welcoming and helpful in everything, great service!

Our room got changed to a different one due to water heater problems (?) and didn't have as nice of a view to the sea as promised but we spent most of the time at the pool so it wasn't really an issue. Nothing bad to say about this place!

I highly recommend the place!

The host was so kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. For breakfast we were being able to choose from a wide selection of food. The pool had a lovely view to the see. The place is in a walking distance to the beach, restaurants, grocery stores, bus stop.
