Fantastic stay relaxing in luxury after a long week exploring the islands of Croatia

The hotel is well situated and feels like an Oasis in a busy part of the suburbs of Split. Superb staff made it feel extra special and enjoyed drinks by the pool to unwind watching the sunset........

Nothing really. The hotel is superb, those wanting to stay in actual Spilt may find the traffic in the morning a challenge to get in and out; but that is a minor thing to navigate......

Could have been better

I will be giving my review for a 4-star hotel, which I have high expectations for. The room was very large, comfortable. Thanks to the staff, the courses had brought compliments (champagne and fruits). The view from the room was charming, it's hard to imagine a more beautiful view. The room was bright, the breakfast was delicious. The restaurant staff was very charming, responsive and I am grateful to them for really taking care of us and helping me, who was sick. There were parking spaces available at the hotel, it was not a problem to park the car. The food in the restaurant was very tasty.

Overall, our visit was uneven. The ceiling light in our room didn't work, which we reported to the reception - it wasn't fixed. Also, the heaters didn't work, which made it very cold the first night and evening. The whole time I had the feeling that the hotel was trying to save money because the tourist season was over. Sometimes there was warm water in the shower, sometimes there wasn't. We complained about the room heating several times, thanks to the restaurant staff who stepped in and helped resolve it. The rest of the time the room was warm, but it was not clear whether it was fixed or not. We were provided with an extra blanket and a kettle, which helped to warm up. The weather in Croatia was not warm, so that was important. The reception staff (several times) said that it would be resolved, but no one came to us and said whether it had been fixed or not. We had to go and ask ourselves. Also - the outdoor pool is not heated, which we were not informed about when we went for a swim. In order to visit the sauna and jacuzzi inside, you have to turn it on yourself and wait for it to heat up, which, in my opinion, is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. In the end, it turned out that you can order at the reception that they turn it on for a certain time. We would have been grateful if this information had been given at check-in, not in the middle of our vacation. Due to the cold pool, the long wait for the sauna to heat up, the room was cold all night - it helped me get sick on the first night of our stay. Overall, we liked the hotel, but it is clear that it should be visited in the summer season, not in the winter. The attitude of the restaurant staff was very good.

Small friendly hotel close to Split with good bus links

- We liked the size of the hotel - not too big, this meant the service felt more personal. We were very happy with the feel of the hotel and all the facilities. - The rooms were a good size, we had a maintenance issue with the shower which was swiftly fixed. - The food in the restaurant was excellent. - Easy to get a sunbed! - Access to the beach, although we found nicer beaches further towards the harbour.

- It’s a shame the hotel is on such a busy road - there was no noise from the road, but it was a scary road to navigate if we went out on foot in the evening as there was very little pavement and it was difficult to cross. That said, we were right on a bus route to either Omiš or Split which was very convenient. - A minor point - there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

Expensive

Clean and friendly we had a complimentary back massage which was great the lady was very good and the room and hotel were quiet.

The hotel was very expensive for what it was and I didn't think it was good value for money. We included the evening meal and the menu wasn't great, It was a different menu not the same as the main menu which looked good. If you can get a good price it's perfectly acceptable, also no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Car parking is tricky we thought we'd lost the bottom of the hire car trying to park!

Overall, the hotel was fine. The breakfast was okay. The room was spacious with a sea view, just as we had booked.

The hotel was almost a 40-minute drive from Split during busy hours, which is practically all day. The hotel felt a bit outdated, the chairs around the pool were messy most of the time, and the grass in the garden belonging to our room was dry. The room was spacious, but it didn’t even have a kettle or a bottle of water, which I believe are basic amenities considering the price we paid. I don’t think I would return to this hotel in the future.

Beautiful stay!

Absolutely gorgeous boutique hotel in Split. We had a sea view and our view looked exactly like the picture advertised. Breakfast was the best of our two week trip. Staff were amazing and welcoming.

Using the pool lounge area was impossible (we tried for two days) - it’s too small for the size of the hotel and people camped out there all day. It’s also about a 10 minute walk to a beach with lounge chairs, swimming, etc. We ended up just walking down to the beach area at Le meridian and paying for chairs and the use of their pools. Not a big deal, but something to consider.

Delicious Food and Nice View

This hotel is really lovely. The food was great, every meal was fresh, beautifully presented and flavory . The chef is truly talented, and it’s clear they cook with both skill and heart. The view from the restaurant and some rooms is simply breathtaking – perfect for a quiet breakfast or a romantic dinner. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff are friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for great food, warm hospitality, and a beautiful setting, this is great place for that.

Surprisingly nice boutique hotel on the coast

Great breakfast . Great evening meal and local wine too. The waiter (antone I think ) was so good with our kids and recommended an exceptional local wine . Beautiful seafood platter . Hotel pool area exceeds photos . As does the hotel .

Ideal Hotel for some Rest and Relaxation

We absolutely adored the Art Deco style of the hotel, which gave it a unique and charming ambiance. The quick check-in process was a pleasant surprise and set the tone for a wonderful stay. We felt incredibly lucky to be upgraded to the newly renovated rooms, which not only provided ample space but also offered a nice sea view, despite being situated on a lower level. The large room with a balcony quickly became our favorite spot to enjoy a cup of green tea, whether in the morning or during the evening, as we soaked in the beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was a delightful experience as well, with the breakfast area conveniently located next to the poolside, providing a calming and serene view. The spread of dishes was impressive, and the kitchen staff did an excellent job ensuring that all items were well stocked. One particular highlight was the efficiency of a young man, whose name we unfortunately forgot, as he diligently turned around the tables, ensuring that all guests were promptly accommodated. We also can't stop raving about the poolside bar's talented bartender, who whipped up some of the most amazing bloody Mary's we've ever had. It added an extra touch of enjoyment to our time by the pool. Overall, our stay was nothing short of fantastic. The hotel's Art Deco charm, the newly renovated room with a sea view, the refreshing green tea moments, and the memorable breakfast experience all contributed to a truly enjoyable vacation. We would gladly return to this hotel for future visits.

While the hotel's location is a bit far from Split Old Town, we found that Uber services were readily available and provided a convenient solution for transportation, despite the sometimes crazy traffic. One minor inconvenience was the restricted pool time in the evening, due to its proximity to the outdoor dining area. However, the staff was accommodating and understanding of our needs. On one occasion, they kindly extended the pool time by an hour, which we truly appreciated, especially as we were a group of 7 people. Overall, despite these minor drawbacks, the hotel staff was attentive and considerate, making an effort to ensure our comfort during our stay. With the availability of Uber rides, we were able to explore the city easily, and the relaxing poolside experience was made all the more enjoyable with the staff's flexibility. If you don't mind a short ride to Split Old Town and are looking for a hotel with a considerate and helpful staff, this hotel could be a great option for your stay.

The views were breath taking, it was clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice with a good selection ,the bed and pillows were soooo comfortable the most comfortable hotel bed we've ever slept in and best hotel and location we've ever stayed in, we did not want to leave. Perfect service, great location, good food

What a fantastic stay! Honestly couldn’t have wanted anything better. The hotel was clean, the staff were beyond exceptional and the service was amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel. Big shout out to Matco the manager, the cleaners and breakfast staff. The location (Podstrana) is also great. The beach is clear and the area is very well looked after. The restaurant at the hotel was also really nice (I recommend the fish!) Overall, my two friends and I are very satisfied and are planning to come again.
