Would stay again. So close to amenities

Location was excellent. Plenty of space inside. Lovely outdoor space.

Just had abit of wear and tear throughout the property. Maybe a new downstairs bed.

Our stay was ok for a couple of nights, good location for shops and restaurant’s but could really do with decor and furn

It was a good location , nice and warm and had a back yard that was great to let the dog out .

The decor was nice but needed re-freshing in all the rooms. It wasn’t cleaned to a good standard. The beds and furnishings need replacing with new they were old and worn .

Overall a disappointing stay.

The property is in a good location, walking distance to the town. Easy access and check in.

The property was definitely in need of a good clean and some TLC - not what I was expecting from the photos. Dusty cobwebs hanging from the lights, food marks on the walls and on the floor, damp on the walls in the downstairs bedroom etc. We also found a pile of black hairs (no guest in our party had black hair) in one of the beds. We also found that one of the beds was broken at the bottom.

Perfect…we will book again for our next visit to Chester

Great place to stay for the weekend. Conveniently located to the city centre, yet quiet. The house has 3 great sized bedrooms, tasteful bathroom with a great shower. Although we didn’t cook anything the kitchen has everything you need if you wanted to. The hosts were helpful with all the information we needed. Couldn’t fault our trip at all.

There was nothing we didn’t like at all. Parking isn’t the best but we did find a spot and you can park outside for a short time to load/unload, so not a negative, just an extra heads up.

Very good indeed, one or two glitches.

Stayed Christmas 2024. The attention and response of the host was exceptionally prompt, helpful and considerate. Example only: sourced and installed a little Christmas tree for our stay squeezing that in between the previous guests and our arrival. Wonderfully located for access on foot to Chester's city walls and via the city wall to the heart of the city centre 5 minutes (or 10 minutes taking it really slowly). It was warm and well appointed.

Tiny points - the plug in the bathroom basin missing (although the bathroom was exceptionally attractive); maybe a touch of paint at some places, the decor itself being good; one bed was perhaps not the most comfortable.

The parking was not the best, it took us a while to find suitable parking. There wasn’t any tea towels in the property so we had to use kitchen roll which felt wasteful in some situations.

It was ok for 2 nights, great location.

The property was in a good location. We were able to have a nice 10 minute walk into town. Everything was clean and tidy…lovely bathroom. The upstairs bedrooms are lovely.

First of all the original photos on the advertisement for the property are beautiful, it’s just unfortunate that over time people that have stayed there have totally disrespected something that’s not theirs. We totally understand that you can’t always get to a property to maintain it but a bit of paint on the walls doesn’t take long to do. The bedroom downstairs feels like it doesn’t belong to that house. The blinds are totally ruined, which for a ground floor room is just awful because anyone walking by can see in. We had to put kitchen towel onto the blind to at least have privacy. The bed in there was creaky and quite cheap compared to the lovely beds upstairs. It’s a shame because if certain things were tended to would make this property a perfect stay in Chester. There was a chunk of carpet hanging down on one of the stairs…someone probably wearing heels..so disrespectful but for the host just needed to get some glue to put it back..it just again looked awful.

Great stay we all loved it

Great location to stay close to town centre and only a 10 minute drive to chester zoo. Great local fish and chips from up the road and a lovely walk seeing all the canal boats.

There was nothing we didn't like house could do with a little bit of touch up paint work but that's all

Great location close to race course exactly as you see in the pictures large bedrooms and bathroom. Compact living space Clean property and crisp bedding and large fluffy towels

Disappointing

Clean bedding and towels. Location was perfect to Chester centre

This was more like student accommodation not a holiday let. Beds were squeaky and uncomfortable other than one of the beds. Wardrobes were tired and dirty Cobwebs and dust were on every wall and on all the blinds. Doors nearly off hinges on downstairs bedroom. Big gaps around doors. Garden was not well kept and not cleared of leaves and table was dirty. Three red wine glasses of which two had chips on them so couldn’t use.

Great location, very nice property with lovely decor. Coffee machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels-everything you needed.

Only 1 loo/bathroom but we're aware of that beforehand. Living room area fairly small considering it sleeps 6 but was fine.

fresh looking good size property. heating was instant and shower and bath were lovely. tv had Netflix and other apps installed. internet was strong. nice outside area.

cooking facility didn’t all work and street lamp directly outside and no curtains to shield this. toilet got blocked as flush was weak

The downstairs rooms smells of damp and it appears throughout the house. The shower head had a large amount of black mold and didn't look as though it had been cleaned in a while.

2 day Chester visit

Perfectly placed to access the city centre, less than 5 minutes from the walls. Dog friendly bar within 200 metres. Spacious modern facilities and comfortable bedrooms. Regular bus service leaves from within 50 metres

Difficult to know where to find the lock box code. I was sent a pin that I didn't realise was not the code. The code was only visible through a link sent within some information and it wasn't clear that I had to use the link to get the code. The owner sorted the problem quickly when I called upon arrival to the property

It was a pleasant stay for the 2 nights.

We liked the stylish decor & where it was based right in the centre of everything. Beds were very comfortable.

There was a large amount of damp throughout the property and the shower head itself was awful definitely needs a clean. The step into the kitchen was pain for my newly crawling child but that is being picky.

enjoyed Chester but would not stay at south view rd or recommend it to anybody

location was good for walking into Chester

was noisy with being on road especially at night double glazing poor the neighbours were very noisy falling out … the property was ok but very tired with decor etc and we had a leaking toilet which we reported to host but nothing was done about it there was water coming up through the kitchen floor it smelt of damp there was dog poo in the yard

Beautifully decorated, spacious home

The platform was great to have all the booking information altogether. Host was very quick to respond to messages, and really helpful. The property was beautifully decorated and much bigger than it appears in the photos too! Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Agree with all the previous reviews around needing curtains in the bedrooms, and an additional sofa and extra dinnerware and cutlery for larger bookings of up to 6, which this property does sleep. There were a few ants around so that might need looking into. A few odd jobs need doing too, like doors dropping off the hinges a little so didn't close, and peeling paint. Downstairs bed was comfy but quite noisy!
