Advantageous location, Poor facilties

Sitting between close walking distances to bith villa park and I dig how close it was to both and the staff were supportive.

The toilets don't work well at all and there wasn't any Internet to use in my stay. Wasn't impressed with the state of my room either.

Staff were great - friendly & welcoming. Clean comfy bed, nice hot shower. All good for a night's stay.

No internet! I needed the wifi to do work in the evening, so it was a big disappointment to find there was none. (Not one bar to connect).

Fair, basic accommodation for football fans

Location is fantastic for Villa games. Nothing else really around Staff were friendly and helpful 🙂 even letting us store bags in car while we went to the match.

Basic room, everything felt a bit run down. Bathroom had an awful smell. In the back of a pub (quite intimidating walking thru while packed after a 3 hr train journey)

Weekend at Aston Villa.

The Twins - Receptionist was amazing. There was also an event on the day so made the location warmed.

Finding the front desk was difficult. And they close the entrance after midnight. And there was not proper communication on how to enter the building. I was told I would use the blue tag for something which I wasn't sure of.

Bar and staff exceptional. Bedroom bit cold but was OK once in bed. Noise was expected being near motorway. But it was great for what we need for 2 nights.

Pleasant stay, friendly staff and convenient location to the train station

The room was basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. Hot water was as expected. The pub downstairs has a lovely vibe to it. Not too busy not too calm. I guess a lot of locals just hanging out there drinking, watching sports and playing poo, snooker. It's a classic British small town pub feel. Loved it. The staff is jovial and accommodating. Would definitely come back here.

A small bottle of water or a glass to drink tap water in the room would have been nice.

Worth every penny.

The location was ideal, and the peace and quiet was prestige. Good clean rooms, fresh clean towels, everything was quite neat. Shower for two 😎 And yes, the English breakfast was epic. The girls at the bar and reception were nice, decent and friendly. I enjoyed my stay. Have made it my little hideaway if in Birmingham again.

The beds can be bigger I guess. Wanted a large double bed, and not 2 separate beds even though I was alone. The mock fire alarms going off almost gave me a heart attack 😂😂

The staff are lovely people who can’t do enough to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. If you’re looking to stay in the area I’d definitely recommend this place because they’ll make sure to look after you well :)

Prime location, spacious room

Lovely relaxing stay, incredibly close to the Aston stadium and the local train station. Staff were very friendly and accomodating, quick check in process. Clean room, comfy bed, strong shower. Big storage spaces

The bathroom toilet had a blocked drains smell. Sometimes faint and sometimes strong. I know it's a toilet but it wasn't the usual toilet smell. I didn't mention it to staff at the time as it was only a quick stay so they may have had time to fix this issue.

Great value, welcoming staff, ideal for easy access to Villa Park

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Great location close to Villa Park, with match day parking available. Breakfast was excellent value. Walking distance to Aston rail station - 2 stops into New Street.

Unfortunately our room smelt strongly of cigarettes which lingered despite us having the windows open the whole of our stay.

Great social club offering clean rooms

Great location for villa park football or concerts really friendly staff, overall a good budget room which was clean with all the basic facilities you’ll need. Shower was powerful with plenty of hot water. The room was clean and welcoming with tea and coffee making facilities.

The extract fan in the bathroom could do with a run timer so it wasn’t running all night.

Lovely hotel

The room was basic but it was great for a night. The staff were really friendly and made us feel like regulars. We have a great night in the bar with family, staff and the entertainment. The breakfast was lovely and worth the money.

Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and given full explanations upon how the hotel operated re breakfast, deposits, car parking and closure of reception if we were to be out late. We were allowed to check in at 1100 which was really kind!

Went for breakfast and no available tables to eat on. So had none. View from window blocked by laundry cages and old mattress. Definitely like upstairs room better.

Basic accommodation could be improved.

It was a basic clean looking room. Good small breakfast before we left

No iron or hairdryer. The shower I could bearly squeeze to get into and out. Couldnt get into the building upon returning late as we were given the incorrect information and no one answered the phone we were given on the booking. Had to knock loud on the back door until someone let us in as I woke them up, sorry but thought we were going to be locked out all night in the car park!! The bed springs twanged as you got out of bed and very uncomfy matteress so bearly slept three hrs.

I did not stay there I could not

It’s was a Pub the manager told me directly to my face it is not a Travelodge nor holiday inn. At my arrival they were people at the front entrance drinking. The check in was at the bar when you can’t hear anything because the bar was full of people. After travelling for 3:30 hours we need to sleep because we came for a wedding. They offered me the room at the ground floor where the party was going on with a DJ on mic. Very disturbing. With the people in the bar I was not feeling secure and refused to stay. The manager told me the party could finish at midnight which was not appropriate for me because I was tired. I did check because it was already around 9pm but my wife said it was not safe for us to stay there and the same thing I mentioned above. They were football supporters and were drinking. She also told me tomorrow it will be same party finishing at midnight. At that point I told here we can’t stay here because these was not mentioned. She said she can’t refund me. I said ok I will take it to booking.com. On the spot I booked another hotel which I booked for my friend. I stayed at the Aston Conference hotel fare better than the Aston inn.

It was a Pub with football supporters. No good facility and peaceful environment not safe with all the people around drinking.

Basic and comfortable BUT

The rooms were basic but comfortable and clean

There was a function on which meant parking was very challenging and the noise was loud very late - it would have been helpful if we’d had prior notification and could have cancelled. The WiFi did not work in the room. We couldn’t open the window due to noise from the function, air conditioning units and the road noise. The room was very warm.
