Our booking and stay were a five-star experience! We had a very pleasant exchange with our host Jill and received all the necessary information before our journey began.Once we arrived, everything was in excellent condition: a fully equipped kitchen, a beautiful bathroom with a fantastic shower, comfortable bedrooms, and a cozy living room. Everything was exactly as shown in the pictures.Aberfoyle itself was the perfect choice for us! Dog walks could start right down the street, and within minutes you were in the woods — which was absolutely lovely. The Co-op just down the road in the other direction had everything we needed during our stay.Aberfoyle is the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area — whether you're into hiking, cycling, or motorbiking. Stirling is not far away, and the drives through Queen Elizabeth Forest Park (including the Aberfoyle zipline experience) were wonderful. And after a day of adventure, you can relax in one of Aberfoyle’s pubs or cafés — all just a short walk from "12/14 on the hill." You’ll definitely find a dog-friendly spot (we and our Gordon Setter certainly did!).We can definitely recommend a stay in Aberfoyle — and especially at "12/14 on the hill"!

Good house up the hill in Aberfoyle. Well equipped kitchen & comfy beds. We (oldish people!) found the tv too small but the downstairs projection onto the wall via firestick works well. Thank you for coffee, biscuits & fast responses.

14 On the Hill was a great little holiday house - well set up, well appointed, comfortable and cosy. It was also a fantastic base for exploring in every direction from Stirling to Glasgow, to Loch Lomond to the Highlands and all with the Trossachs National Park right there. Stunning scenery around and Aberdoyle itself is a peaceful rural setting with great walks, trails from the village. The living space upstairs had plenty of space for the family and was very sociable. The kitchen has everything you need and has been thoughtfully equipped. The house is so lovely and warm (good heating system) that you didn't even need the little log burner (but nice to have the choice). The small movie room with projector downstairs was loved by our boys! The CoOp in town is a good local store with everything you could need to make choosing food each day pretty easy. Jill. As a host, was great with her communications and help and always responsive. Overall if you want a great base for exploring this part of Scotland at a reasonable price - then look no further.
