Nasrid Generalife - Carmen con patio ajardinado y vistas panorámicas

Beautiful old Arabic carmen in the heart of Albayazin. Gorgeous views from the upstairs balcony over the neighbourhood towards the Alhambra. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the flexibility of a well stocked kitchen with a small but good supermarket very close by. The local bakery does delicious croissants. The small local buses are very handy for getting to and from the centre with no worries about needing to walk up the hill. Would recommend buying a reloadable card if you are going to use them frequently. There were very handy suggestions for local restaurants and walking routes into town.

We arrived late at night and in the dark. A very small thing - a photo of the front door would have helped, plus knowing that there is a light switch at the bottom of the stairs. Would have liked hand soap and a hand towel in the kitchen.

Quiet location. Spacious, comfortable with lots of outdoor space too. Lovely comfortable beds and excellent air con throughout. Great views from the upstairs balcony.

Not a dislike but a sun umbrella would be great for the upstairs balcony as sitting looking out at the views was lovely, but too hot in the sunshine.

We worried whether the location was the correct choice for our group or not, but it ended up being good. The walk from the parking lot to the apartment was more convenient than anticipated. The kids really enjoyed the neighborhood cats. Staying in the albayzin area is enchanting.

I was not aware that parking was not available at the apartment, but an eight minute walk down the street. Maybe I missed it somewhere during the booking process, it that case it is my fault. I feel that things like that should be included up front for people to consider as they are booking. Also, the process for documentation during checking in could be better streamlined, they did not seem to be comfortable with part of our group not arriving until much later. The mattresses seem to be quite old, you'll sink overnight to the bottom of the bed.
