Suite Comares

I chose a small room, and that it was. But I had a lovely pool area as well as a cool lobby and sitting area to compensate. It was fantastic to return to after a morning activity and cool off in the pool. It was clean and comfortable and perfect for me. The grapefruit, fresh from the tree, was an added bonus. Luisa is a wonderful kind host.

Great location and beautiful house. Coffee and tea etc and other supplies in the communal hallway. Nice touch. Pool and garden area were very nice too.

Room was nice but very small and noise travelled easily. Didn’t bother us but taken together this is probably only a 1-2 night stay at least in the ground floor room we had.

This is a lovely old building in Albaicin with many nice architectural features. Unfortunately it was disappointing. The view of the Alhambra from the roof terrace is no longer available and if you book the deluxe double with spa bath you have no view at all.

The deluxe double with spa bath is something of a joke. The bath includes a shower attachment but no shower screen or curtain. A brief careful shower left water in the bath as it would not drain. As a former plumber I noticed the pop up waste control was missing and thought the problem was the waste plug was closed, however removing it released no water as the waste was totally blocked. This was resolved later that day but with no ability to raise or lower the plug it had been left out. This means a bath, if you were looking forward to one, is not possible so in effect it is a shower with no screen or curtain. It would be better to remove it and replace it with a shower tray and screen. The room stays very cool, nice on a hot day, but in September with chilly nights the room can feel quite cold.
