We had a wonderful stay in the glamping pod. The location is beautiful, surrounded by nature and complete stillness — exactly what we needed to switch off and relax. The pod was cosy, comfortable, and well equipped, making our stay very enjoyable. A peaceful and memorable experience, highly recommended.
A little far out but the instructions we received were easy to follow and we found the location with ease.

Location, fire pit and clever design made this an excellent one night stop over.
Waking up to uninterrupted views across the misty hills.

The location is truly stunning, and the pod is tiny but very well appointed. It was perfect for a family of 4. Having wood for a camp fire (with marshmallows provided!) and BBQ pit made it a perfect stay in beautiful nature.
The bunk beds were a bit short for our teenagers, I would say maximum height should be 1.55m

The location and amenities were second to none
The hear in the pods was almost unbearable at times. It did not drop below 24 degrees for our stay despite running the wee air conditioning machine.

We really liked how the pod was layed out and we were all saying that for the amount of square footage you couldn't have done a better job on building it!
Nothing.

We had Pod1 which was next to pod 2 closest to the car park but felt more private. the other 4 pods were a few minutes away in front so we liked this position (although the others had the evening sun longer).
This suited us (with a 4yr old) as she has her own room and she was happy in top bunk (it had a safety rail) too. She loved the pod and the marshmallow roasting on fire. We just used the wood provided & nice to have marshmallows included. The stone fire was great.
Our sofa bed was very comfy - wifi was good. Kettle & fridge fine. Shower was good.
Car park was only 5 mins walk. We put daughter in the trolley provided and pulled her so she loved that!
Nice grass area outside our pod for ball games and the view was fab.
We brought ham and bread etc and had a cold dinner so did not use bbq.
We would book again although we were lucky with perfect weather.
It was not cleaned very well to be honest. Bathroom and beds were fine but there was a hair in fridge, kettle was grubby, bin lid dirty, and inside drawers and corners of pod not cleaned at all. As a cleaner myself i know it had just been quickly surface cleaned and needed a hoover and everything properly wiping down. We had to wipe the windows too as it showed more marks and handprints when the lights lit it at night for privacy due to the special glass. There was still coffee spilled down the cupboard and the extractor fans were filthy.
Easily fixed with a bit more time spent on each pod and a hoover needed.
Note - top bunk suitable for 3-6 yrs . Much smaller than bottom bunk.
Could get very hot in peak summer in the bunk room. We left her door open.
Other than that - we thought it was great and a lovely location. We usually book premier inn so this was way nicer and better for families. Daughter loved it.
Take your own eye mask - they provided them but quite thin and no curtains.
What a view to wake up to though !

Beautiful location, fabulous Glamping pods with everything we needed for our stay. We used the barbecue and fire pit which were located next to our pods with rustic tree table and stools, perfect.

The quiet location and outlook over the fields while lying in bed in the morning is just beautiful regardless of the weather. The pod is cosy and you really felt grounded with its surroundings.
The lack of cooking facilities. There was a toaster, kettle and outdoor BBQ however if its raining or very windy then its difficult to get cooking. A microwave would be great and allow for a quick meal or to reheat something if required.

We received multiple very informative communications from the hosts of the glamping pods and felt very well informed of what to find included in the pod. We found the pod perfect for a couple of nights away of adventure as a young family. The pod was very clean and comfortable, with ample space for a family of four. We had a brilliant first evening and all really enjoyed waking up to an amazing view across the estate to the mountains beyond.
On returning to the pod on our second evening, it was incredibly hot, so we had the door to the pod wide open. While using the bbq area, we noticed there was a very large number of flying ants. Over the course of the evening, hundreds of these ants swarmed all around the front of the pod. We were unable to leave the door open or sit outside due to the sheer number of these insects. As it had been a particularly warm day, having the door closed turned the pod into an oven, and our kids found it unbearable. It did become dangerously hot, and as we were unable to improve the situation, we made the difficult decision to end our stay early and head home before our final night. I must add that this was obviously down to nature, and there was not anything the hosts could do to prevent this situation. We did contact them at the time, and we really did feel that they were upset at the situation we found ourselves, and they did offer multiple suggestions to try and improve things for us. But unfortunately, we did have to leave a night early due to concerns for our children.
Perhaps a mosquito net or the like for the doorway so we could have left the door open to cool the pod would have been enough, or perhaps a small AC unit.

I visited with my partner and our 2yo, we had a wonderful time and the location was absolutely stunning, with gorgeous views and peaceful surroundings. The farm in which the pods are on has Goats, Ducks, Pigs and peacocks which my son loved going to visit throughout our stay. There was also cows grazing in the field right outside the pod. It was quiet when we stayed with only one other family in the pod next door but even if it was fully booked, it would be a peaceful and quiet stay. The pod is well set out, comfortable and provides everything you need.
There is a BBQ and tools but no charcoal supplied - it does mention in the pre-arrival instructions that charcoal can be purchased extra but it isn’t overly clear that there isn’t any available (there is firewood provided). Someone kindly brought some for us when we asked which was great, however making it clearer that guests should bring their own would prevent others making the same mistake.

We stayed in the POD for 1 night. It was very cozy for us as a small family.
We Liked the Amazing Views and the Relaxing Atmosphere.

Lovely location. Good use of space in pod allowing sofa during the day and bed at night. Super comfortable beds, slept very well! Lovely addition of Marshmallows and Skewers.
The doors to the bathroom and bunk bed room did not close fully. Could do with a microwave to allow hot food to be made in the pod. It was difficult to get the pod to a comfortable temperature as heating heated the pod so quickly when turned on. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to use the fire pit but that can not be controlled!

Superb location for spotting wildlife! Arrived to a load of goats being herded with an especially cute kid that let me stroke it (peanut butter) and woke up to a pair of hares jumping around outside the pod!
Loved the camp fire kit with marshmallows and the breakfast (order in advance) was lovely too!
It’s very compact but it’s to be expected, a million times better than an actual tent so can’t complain!

Amazing view
Very nice location
Deer passing by the pod in the morning
Chamallow
POD is far from the parking without notice upfront
No blinding curtains so waken up at 6h
No wood for barbecue despite supposed to be available and ready
WiFi code not working
No kitchen equipment so difficult to have a proper dinner
We rented the exact same pod in Ireland last year which is why we were a bit disappointed

The pod is great, comfy bed, cosy and warm, clean with a great view of the countryside. Close to Stirling (30mins drive). Alastair (owner)very responsive to questions.
Adding microwave would be helpful as if the weather is poor cooking out on the bbq is difficult but we made do.
The bunk beds are small - more suited to kids under 130cm.

First time Glampers ! Very impressed: excellent communication from Alastair before and during our 2 night stay which was so helpful and reassuring , an impressively comfortable , spacious and cleverly designed pod with WiFi which was amazingly strong enough for my husband to stream Arsenal v Real Madrid on his iPhone , considering we were in a field ! Surprisingly spacious bathroom with decent water pressure in the standard size shower and ( very ) hot water , comfortable beds , beautiful quintessentially Scottish picture postcard views and good quality kitchen basics ie decent wine glasses and a cafetière . Some reviews suggest a microwave but I disagree as the kitchen is a series of shelves rather than work surfaces , ( mini fridge below ), so the way to go is wine , cheese , fresh fruit etc in front of the fire and / or BBQ which Cardross can supply if in season. .We had sunshine and torrential rain and genuinely enjoyed the pod in both weathers. Cosy pounding rain interspersed with magnificent night skies when dry. Fabulous .
We actually liked everything and on leaving felt we could have added a further night , but as first time Glampers - on our way down from a stay at super comfortable , traditional Dumfries House - didn’t want to risk more than the minimum 2 night stay . My husband had promised to try the first night with the proviso we may not do the second but Cardross glamping is a different experience , definitely glamping not camping . We’ll certainly recommend Cardross to friends and hopefully be back one day again ourselves .

The location is superb, the experience is worth it! The room was warm, modern and all available space was cleverly used.
We arrived after 18.00 and it was a
Dark, we couldn't find the place and got lost twice. It rained heavily and there was not enough light to reach the pod. Instructions given were 3 pages but missing the essentials. Additionally blinds or curtains would help for the privacy. Some kitchen equipment was dirty. Poor breakfast: bread, cereals, milk and juice. Butter without jam or honey!

Great little set up. My boys loved it, really nice set up with the bbq and fire pit, we had a bbq in the middle of a Scottish winter, amazing! Everything outside set up, clean and ready to go. Marshmallows included! Nice touch. Owner really friendly, helpful and responsive to messages. Brought us coal last minute when we needed it. Beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Great trolleys for use of transporting bags to cabin! Thought of everything, shower powerful and warm. Thank you for our stay.
Sheets on kids beds weren’t fitted so just came off as soon as they moved, with waterproof covering meant they were sleeping on a cold mattress, just needs fitter sheets to solve that. Tea and coffee could have been a little more thought of as just not much in regard to amount and quality but we were happy to have some there and be able to use.

Absolutely beautiful location - the view from the pod is stunning!
The only trouble was the size of the bunk beds, they are really only for small children. One of mine didn’t fit into the bed because of the shortness of the bed.

Excellent location with a wonderful view out across the landscape. There is a restaurant around the corner called Nicks at port menteith which isnt recommended on the list however it is exceptional and makes staying here worth the visit.
Not exactly clean ready for new guests. A couple of small things like no milk (even sacheted). bottled water or effective firelighting solutions. (Extremely high winds and matches).

We came from Canada and this was excellent. Everything was supplied and was very comfortable for myself and my two kids. Scenery was breath taking.
No complaints at all about the Pod itself. It’s about 20min drive to shops but apart from not having an option to buy anything closer by, I highly advise booking this and we can’t wait to book again on our next trip .

Cosy, clean, beautiful view and surroundings
Honestly it was so cramped and small. I’ve stayed in these before and this definitely small.
Also, it was very muggy/warm when we stayed and there is no air circulation. We didn’t want front door left open so we sweated all night

Lovely setting to get away from it all. Very peaceful, surrounded by nature. Only 5 pods on site and plenty of privacy with adequate spacing between the pods. Pods are very modern, clean, in great shape and well appointed. It was suprisingly comfotable for a family of 4 for a couple of nights. The kids loved the bunk beds!
The walk from the car park to the pods was just about bearable in the drizzle. Would have been completeley fine in dry weather and less so in torrential rain. Trolleys provided are very helpful. Small nit-picking point...the matches provided for the BBQ and fire pit were too soggy to work so we had to rely on neighbours in pod next door to help us light our fire (thanks, Joe!). Might be worth keeping matches or a secondary lighter in the kitchen drawer (or take your own, like Joe did!).

The pods were cute and very comfortable and cozy, loved the wee view that came with it.
I didnt like the fact there was a photo of a lake in the picture where as this lake was no where to be seen and was over and hours walk from the site.

Lovely scenery and great to have a barbecue and fire pit.
The crockery hadn’t been cleaned so there was bacon left on one of the plates and dirty marks on the others from the previous occupiers. Not a nice thing to find.
Don’t feel this was marketed the right price for one night. You’re asked to strip beds, empty bins and clean dishes - that’s fine, don’t have a problem with that, but it leaves very little for Housekeeping to do so I expected the pod to be immaculate with clean crockery. I think Housekeeping have only looked at top plates within the drawer and assumed the others are clean. 5pm check-in was too late.
