The most amazing ‘barn conversion’ for our special weekend away! The bathtub is heavenly! Great location!

Lovely break away in a tranquil cabin

Lovely wooden cabin in the woods, welcomed with a slate sign guiding us to the cabin. The cabin was easy to find from the main road with easy parking. The track is a typical farm track. A short gravel path down the cabin lit by festoon lights and the cabin itself was all you could ask for. A lovely kitchenette, en-suite shower room, log burning stove with fuel provided, and double bed inside. Outside a bath overlooking a field of sheep and some woodland. Lovely sympathetic lighting outside at night. The WiFi was perfectly adequate to watch movies on a phone or iPad

There weren’t any bad elements to this stay. Note there is a skylight above the bed which is lovely for looking at the stars at night but does mean you’ll wake with the sunrise (eye masks are provided to combat this). The kitchen has all you need for a short break to be able to cook (oven, hob, toaster and kettle). One utensil that would be a great addition would be a set of scissors however (if a set was present we couldn’t find them)

Everything was perfect. The pictures are not fair to the appartment itself, since the appartment is better!!! It is just the perfect accomodation for every kind of group.

Friendly host and cozy accomodation

The place is beautiful, spacious, very well-organized, and exudes a sense of luxury. From the very first moment, the impression was positive. Mr. Fraser was extremely courteous and professional—he welcomed us with a warm smile and paid great attention to every little detail, which made our experience comfortable and truly special. His manner was so refined that we felt more like guests in his home rather than just visitors. The interior was clean, elegant, and gave off a cozy, homely vibe, thanks to the overall atmosphere and the care put into every aspect. The entire experience, from arrival to departure, was seamless and reflected excellent organization, high-quality service, and a genuine concern for the guest’s comfort.

Awesome location. Our second visit and having a bath by moon light was brilliant this time too. I can't recommend this place enough. I will be back next year.

A short and spontaneous family weekend away in the countryside! Bliss and peaceful.

Enough facilities throughout the property and very comfortable beds, great showers and a magnificent bathtub which I’m still dreaming about! Good attention to detail with a welcome sign and complimentary prosecco was a nice touch. Good amenities and a well functioning dish washer! The hosts were great, they kept themselves to themselves and gave us the space and exclusive use of the property which was nice! They were easy to contact and gave us help via the phone whenever we needed it! Overall this place was beautiful and “The Barn” in which we stayed was amazing. We will definitely be back soon! Thank you again Fraser and Eleanor!

Everything was perfect. The Workshop was bright, spacious, clean, well equipped. Complimentary prosecco, milk and snacks. Bedding, towels and beds top quality. Log burner was fantastic.

A cozy, forest hideaway!

What an incredible little gem of a hideaway to stay at! The 'Forest Cabin' is a cozy little cottage close to Loch Lomond with serene views and a lovely little wood burner. There is an outdoor bath, which was probably the highlight for me, perfect for taking a warm, steaming bath at night with the forest trees swaying in the breeze, or a refreshing cold plunge in the morning to start the day off! The hosts were very friendly and helpful and, all in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Highly recommended!

Beautiful clean accommodation. Lovely facilities throughout.. It is exactly as pictures show. The location is ideal for nearby activities. We did Go Ape, mountain biking gravelfoyle and alpaca walking at Thornhill. Great community run pub in nearby Gartmore is worth a visit too!

Stairs a bit slippy and not suited to younger children. My son aged 12 fell top to bottom and hurt himself.. this was as a result of hurrying when smoke alarm activated.. Range cooker instructions not available.

The accomodation was of the highest standard. Everything was spotlessly clean, very high quality and so well equipped. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. The owner was really helpful and accommodating.

We had an amazing stay, the barn had everything we could need inc. milk, towels, cooking oil, a fire stick in the tv and loads of fire wood and cutlery etc. The home was immaculate too and the complementary Prosecco and chickens who visited the front door were the icing on the cake.

Excellent, enjoyable and a good location.

Location was excellent, a lot of places close by for walks, meals and general activities. At night it was great to put the fire on and watch some television. Really enjoyed the experience and would come back again.
