About this house rental
Wind your way along sandy paths between bleached blonde dunes and tufted wild grass. Listen to the sound of waves breaking in the distance and gulp in big breaths of the salted, sea air. Three spectacular miles of fine sand lie waiting to be discovered at Gwithian Beach; where solitary strolls and sunrise surf sessions usher in long and laid back summer days.
Tucked away behind dunes on the edge of Upton Towans Nature Reserve, you’ll discover 6 The Dunes; one of ten luxury eco-home that blend in beautifully with their natural surroundings. Easy on the eye and on the environment, these properties utilise sustainable, and where possible locally-sourced materials such as timber framing and bee bricks, with air source heat pumps, underfloor heating and high levels of insulation reducing their carbon footprints. Stepping inside, the cool, light-filled space has a minimalist and airy atmosphere, with modern bohemian textiles and one-off pieces of furniture infusing personality and playfulness into the home. Open plan living and spacious bedrooms offer ample room for four, with sliding doors from the living room out to the terrace, inviting the outdoors in. Days are spent surfing the Atlantic swell or exploring rock pools and caves with the kids before heading home to de-sand in one of the property's two beautiful bathrooms. Evenings are whiled away on the private terrace with drinks and conversation flowing, before the barbecue is lit and the hot tub eased into for a pre-supper soak.
Discover rugged coastal walks with views over the aquamarine waters of iconic St Ives Bay, or amble the rugged tracks of the nature reserve. Wander the streets of historic Hayle before stopping off for fish and chips in St Ives, or pack a picnic and go seal spotting off the cliffs near Godrevy Head.
Pets: 2 pets allowed. Please advise the Luxury Coastal team directly if you would like us to host your pet after completing your booking. A charge of £40 per pet per stay/week will be applicable and required before your stay. We will arrange and invoice with you directly upon booking confirmation.
Good Housekeeping Bond
We ask our guests for a £150 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no claim. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.

We had a great week at the Dunes. The house is furnished to a high standard with, excellent quality appliances and bedding. The hot tub was a fab addition after walking on the sand dunes! The house is in a great location with local amenities not far at all. The walk to the beach is a bit challenging but, worth it. We were so lucky with beautiful weather for Easter and, enjoyed days out at St Michaels Mount and, the train to St Ives. My children enjoyed the board games in the house and, spent many an evening all playing together which, was nice to get them off their devices! Thank you for a lovely stay we, would love to come back in the future

Just loved this accommodation .We have been coming to Cornwall for over 10 yrs and this is the best self catering lodge we have been lucky enough to stay in .Beautiful decor and contents very luxurious and sofas and bed very comfy .Garden is dog proof and best of all the hot tub ,such a treat. The surrounding dunes are stunning with a lovely wander to the sandy beach .We’ve booked to return in sept so that shows how much we loved it ,can’t wait .

It would be hard to find fault with this property and location. One of the best equipped and comfortable holiday homes we have stayed in.
