A cottage just like your nonna

We liked it was near the central. The aircon in the heat was great. The washing machine

The fact that it had two seperate rooms so if your travelling with a family with young children it won’t suit as we needs to split the family up.

Great rustic cottage close to the beach

So close to the beach and everything else is just a short walk away.

The shower heads need replacing as the water doesn’t come out of them very well.

We found the location and lay back atmosphere great for a family holiday.

It was like staying in a family holiday cottage. Comfortable and homely. The location near the beach with access by car and a postage stamp parking bay on site was great.

There is a garden area and shaded eating area which is great but it isn’t well maintained. There was a problem with the plumbing in one bathroom which was rectified by our hostess the next day. (tree roots in pipes). When using the oven the fridge would go off. The electrical board to rectify the problem was easily accessible.

Amazing place to stay! The private garden is perfect for relaxing, and the host was very helpful and responsive to any questions. The parking spot is a bit small, but it was great to have one available. Comfortable beds, clean. Super close to the beach—definitely recommend!

You do need to go outside to get from one bedroom to another, but we were aware of it and it wasn’t that inconvenient, especially with all the other benefits.

The location and outdoor space really worked for us but I would not rebook it

We liked the location and the outdoor space.

We found it dark inside. The main room had a strong musty and sulphuric smell. We hated having to take the garbage and recycling and deal with it a few blocks away from the property.

Private, quiet house with a garden close to everything!

So close to the beach, restaurants and shops. It was private and quiet. Loved having a garden to ourselves! We had the house with 3 rooms and fit our family with 2 grown sons perfectly.

The location is excellent; near beach, railway station, a little shop and restaurants. Little private garden.

Bedrooms airconditioner was dripping the water to the corner of the room and it spead all over the floor. Towel was needed. Toliet seat flooded toi, but lady was efficiant and ordered plumber right away. The other bedroom was only for 1 person, and gruop of two coyples others had to sleep on the sofa bed in the kitchen.

Wonderful short walk to the beach!

Parking and washing machine were two things we needed, and one of the main reasons we booked this place, but the location was by far the best thing about this place for us. It was very close to what I feel like was the best beach in Monterosso, and really all of Cinque in my opinion. Less crowded and at the end of new town. The walk to old town Monterosso was a bit of a walk, about 15 minutes, but all along the water, so the view was quite incredible. The property had everything we needed and was super clean. We loved being able to sit outside in the evenings. Mirella was super great in explaining things on check in and worked with our needs/request on checking out.

Not something necessarily that we didn’t like, but to be aware of, is the two separate spaces and having to walk outside from the main bedroom to the kitchen/second small bedroom. Thankfully there is a bathroom in both spaces. One thing we didn’t like and it’s a personal preference I know, is the main bed is VERY VERY firm. Other than that, good stay!

Superb

Lovely private cottage with generous outdoor space that is not overlooked and a luxury in the hustle and bustle of busy Monterosso. Just a couple of minutes' walk to the beach, and shops/restaurants. The host Mirella is a lovely lady. There is air conditioning and a washing machine. The kitchen is large and well equipped with gas cooker. The terrace is wonderful. Covered, so you can sit out even in the rain or if you want to be in the shade. Very relaxing location. Bring mosquito repellent for sitting outside at dusk!

Very nice cottage

The owner was very helpful. WIFI was good. The location is very good, close to the public beach (5-10 min walk) and to the supermarkets. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped, the bathroom was clean and the garden was a nice option to rest or to have a breakfast. In short: everything was fine :)

It's not the owner's fault but it was difficult to find the cottage in the dark (the street photos from the owner didn't help at night). If you miss it, it's tricky to turn back by car on the narrow road, especially in the case of oncoming traffic (the clutch of our car was damaged because of this situation).

the backyard was amazing. we spent the time we did at the place, in the backyard. the house was so clean and much appreciated. the owner was there and so kind and sweet. truly appreciated her hospitality. the location is the reason to rent this place. it is truly the BEST! took us 1-2 minutes (with slow kids) walking to the beach.

only problem was the ants. the owner did warn us and we actually went to the market and bought a can and killed them all so that solved the problem for us!

Perfect

This cottage was absolutely perfect. A little stand alone property with a big private outdoor space away from the crazy Monterosso crowds. Very quiet, close to the beaches and train station, clean, simple but with everything we needed. We really appreciated the washing machine and the air conditioning. Mirella who met us with the keys was very attentive and informative. Thank you for a great holiday!

Great for a family

The location is great. Tucked away from the main street, its close to a free beach, small playground, restaurant and a has an enclosed garden/yard. The apartment has two private bedrooms. The second bedroom has its own bathroom and a door to the outside. The first bedroom has a twin bed and the living room, with sofa bed, and kitchen are adjacent. There is a parking spot for your vehicle right on the property. It’s super convenient. The shower was amazing, especially after a day at the beach. It has nice water pressure and lots of warm water. I liked that we could lock the gate and keep our dogs and two small children inside the garden/yard without a worry. The kitchen has all the utensils and cooking tools you could need. It has a toaster, oven, gas stove, refrigerator and freezer. The beds are nothing too fancy, but everything was clean and easy to relax on. My favorite part was the garden/yard. There is a table and chairs for outside dining or just to relax. I really enjoyed our stay. I hope to visit again soon.

I didn’t like that the second bedroom was not attached, but it could be perfect for two couples traveling together.
