Location to Alton towers excellent Hot tub excellent Accommodation clean and everything required Amazing views

The location and hot tub The owners were welcoming and friendly and have only taken over in may 2026 so give them time to improve things as they seem keen to make it a great place to stay 20 mins max from alton towers and other attractions in the area The price was good value too compared to other similar properties

Hot tub could do with being under cover for all weather Nothing to sweep floors with to help keep clean No mop to wipe wet floors after hot tub use so floors got wet had to use more towels Nothing to hang wet clothes on to dry These are minor niggles i hope the owners can apply to all of their hot tub properties to make it a more easy stay for all as i didnt want to seem im fault picking etc as the place is lovely and would stay again in the future :)

The location is set amongst stunning scenery, making it the perfect place to stay, with an abundance of beautiful and atmospheric landscapes right on your doorstep. It took around 15 minutes to walk to the Roaches and 20 minutes to climb Hen Cloud, making this an ideal base for anyone who loves to explore, navigate, stargaze, and discover the natural wonders of the Peak District. Leek’s fabulous market is also well worth a visit. Even driving down the track towards the property feels like part of the experience. You only have to look around you to appreciate the breathtaking countryside and landscape. There’s something wonderfully peaceful and almost magical about being surrounded by so much open space and nature. The hot tubs were the perfect place to unwind after a long day of hiking, allowing us to soak beneath the sky and properly relax. Donna and Ed, the hosts, were incredibly welcoming and generous with their knowledge of the local area, offering suggestions and insights into places to explore. They also shared an interest in mysticism and holistic practices, which added an extra sense of connection to the landscape. For neurodivergent visitors in particular, I think this could be a wonderful opportunity to slow down, engage with nature, and experience the environment in a more mindful and meaningful way. I would absolutely love to visit again. The cottage’s location is an ideal base for exploring the Peak District and its natural phenomena, hidden corners and wild landscapes. There’s a real sense of magic here, the kind of place where you can leave feeling a little more connected to the land, the sky, and yourself.

I chose the apartment solely for the hot tub. When we arrived it was cold . There are strict rules all over the property , i think about 10 sets of rules across the place. I understand needing some rules but not ‘polite notices’ in red capitals on table as soon as you walk in. The hot tub rules are 10am - 10pm. The hot tub only reached 29 by 9:30pm which we had to go in with only 30 mins left in the rules and it was like a Luke warm bath. It would have been hot my the morning but we couldn’t use it before we left. The bedrooms have no windows. There aren’t any views from this particular apartment (however some Of the other rentals there have great views) . The track is tricky at points drive slow and no lowered vehicles . Do only take one car !
