The property as perfectly situated for access to scenic locations and other points of interest in the Peak District. The village had everything we needed (pub, shop, fish & chips, and cafes). The cottage was cozy, clean and very thoughtfully decorated. The cottage manager, Wendy, was also extremely helpful and professional. We will definitely be returning.

Quirky property with everything we wanted Lovely position for a number of walks in the Peak District Pub and Chippy on our doorstep
The second bedroom was a loft conversion with a very steep staircase Bathroom did not have a shower facility, only a hand held attachment

Central village location and well appointed
Very steep stairs to second bedroom, not the property owners fault but some very fast vehicles use the lane.

Beautiful, cosy cottage. Great location. Christmas decorations were a nice touch. Cosy log fire for winter nights. Longnor village is cute with the ye olde cheshire cheese pub on the doorstep and the pack horse in crowdecote 30min ish walk away. Both do lovely pub grub. Cottage is right on the road but it’s a very quiet road. Popular walks like the roaches 10min drive away but fantastic walks (and much quieter) right from the house.
Good directions from the host but a sign with the house number on by the parking spot would be really helpful (particularly when arriving after dark). Some damp issues in the upstairs twin bedroom (I get it, we’ve had a house of a similar age) but it is coming through the wall and needs some attention. No issue for a short stay though.
