The location of the cottage in a small country village was very good, and there is excellent Peak District countryside nearby. Dovedale is particularly fine, especially around Milldale and Hartington rather than the busier NT carpark. There is ample shopping at Leek, within a few miles. There are many good walks.
The internet connection could have been better.

Location ideal for a tranquil stay for Peak District touring or Alton Towers. Facilities were adequate for cooking within the property if that's what you're after. Kitchen and bathroom facilities all good. Cosy living room. Off street parking although a little tight for larger vehicles.
Driveway is very narrow so passengers needed to get out of the car on the main road. It is a quiet area so not very busy with traffic generally so not that much of an issue for me. Might be for others with large vehicles.

we very much enjoyed and loved our stay. Our host was excellent meeting us on arrival and checking in with us during our stay to ensure all was fine with us and the accommodation. lovely cottage. well equipped for short or long stays. Restaurant/pub about 1min walk. electric blankets on all beds and log burner fireplace perfect for colder nights. All year all round perfect accommodation. looking forward to return stay October 25.
