Excellent house to stay in. We was only there for 1 night but was exactly what we needed
Quite a tight road but a car park at the end of the street

Location was great and check in process very smooth
Cleanliness left a lot to be desired, needs a good deep clean. The stairs are very steep but nothing they can do about that. Property is dated but comfortable enough for one evening

location was handy for town centre
place was grubby with black marks on the shower grout and cracks in walls, all quite old and tired and has seen better days. Clocks all showed different times, all wrong, only half of the toaster actually worked and the cold tap didn't work on the shower. TV only had a few BBC channels and the internet didn't work at all (spent hours trying to fix it) so had to use phone data to get online at my own expense and lost 2 days of house hunting, which was part of the reason for my visit. The owner came to the house every day I was there to try to fix the problems, the last time being 9pm when I'd about given up on him coming. Not relaxing when you are just sitting and waiting in for a visit (then get chastised for the dogs not being shut in the kitchen even though they were in their beds on the floor and not on the tacky furniture). Grottiness aside, bigt issue was dogs being expected to stay in the kitchen at all times, totally impractical and I would not have booked had I known they wouldn't be allowed in the same room as me of an evening. After a sleepless night on the sofa due to unsettled dogs whining and trying to keep them quiet, left early the next day in an effort to salvage some of my much-needed break. Of course, the owner doesn't want to refund me at all(offered to pay for the day I left in lieu of notice) and Booking.com are totally useless, leaving it all to me to try to resolve. Horrible experience over all and at least next time I book "travelling with pets", I'll know to check whether that actually means "pets will be restricted to a single room". I so needed this break for personal reasons but now left trying to get a refund with no help from the owner or Booking.com. Overall, a horrible experience that I would not wish on anyone.

This is a little terraced house in a great location - very close to the pubs and shops so very easy to walk into town. We had no issues parking and self check in with the lockbox was very easy. Host had great communication and I think the house is good value and a good location & comfortable.
It is a little basic, especially if you were staying for a longer time and if there were 4 of you there isn't quite enough space at the dining table for 4 and cooking facilities are basic- but perfectly functional. The electric fire in the living room didn't work and note there is no WiFi (it isn't listed as having any but could be useful to mention it doesn't have it).
The main downside was the bathroom had not been cleaned and there was a lot of dust and hairs on the toilet and the sink & shower didn't look like they had been cleaned since the last guests. The kitchen cleanliness was ok but could have been a bit better. The bedrooms and living room were nice and clean though.

Perfect stopover for Alton Towers. Ideally situated in the little town of Leek (which was lovely, by the way!), we had a great stay in this little mid terrace. The house was clean and quiet with a hot shower (I know how important that can be!). We had a lovely meal in Thai Siam and a few drinks in the local pubs. The locals were friendly and welcoming. One bit of advice would be to get there early enough to bag a good parking spot on the street, otherwise it might be a couple of minutes' walk at most. Either way, we had a perfect stay and thanks to Mart for his hospitality. Absolutely would recommend.

Just no washing machine but no big deal

Close to town centre and a large grocery store. We found the place perfectly adequate for our needs. The fact that one can check in from 1pm was really convenient. There were always parking spaces available on the street and we were able to park literally next to the house each time when we went back. Neighbours were quiet and there wasn’t much commotion outside of the house regardless it being central. The only thing I would like to mention is the fact that there is no coffee, tea, sugar, oil, tinfoil etc provided, so if you don’t fancy buying that once your arrive just bring them with you. The mattress in the small bedroom was very soft (I suspect not of great quality), but the one in the main bedroom felt a lot nicer (but I guess it’s down to personal preference).
We found the mattress in the small bedroom too soft for our liking, but I guess it’s down to personal preference.
Another thing I would like to mention which isn’t a negative, but could be helpful to know in advance that there is no tea, coffee, oil etc provided at the property.

All facilities where as promised and the location was good for us, especially the local Witherspoons
We are used to sleeping in a superking sized bed and it was only a double but we knew this when we booked it and, there was a lot of noise from traffic, especially trucks early in the morning that woke me up

Location was excellent. Shops, bars and takeaways all with walking distance. Leek is gorgeous.

Very tidy and had everything you needed.
Neighbours were loud at times.

Comfortable beds, knew what to expect, nice to have milk and butter provided.
There weren't enough towels for 4 of us. Smelt slightly of stale smoke. The WiFi hadn't been connected yet but wasn't too much of an issue. More wine glasses, ideally matching required.
