The hotel upgraded us to their 4-star category. Large, spacious room and bedroom, large bed and very comfortable mattress. Good variety of breakfast items on offer. Prompt check in and check out.

Service at breakfast was a bit slow. Kitchen door left open and the smell of fried food lingered in the breakfast room.

Great stay while traveling for a business

Visited the Meckenheim for a business trip, and the location was great. It is near the train station only about 5~10 minutes walk. The breakfast the hotel provides was one of the best breakfast I had among the hotels I visited in Europe. There are supermarkets nearby providing convenience to the daily needs in travelling.

Nice hotel positioned just tem minutes walk from the town centre where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. Hotel room a good size and the shower was hot and strong. Very friendly staff. Breakfast very good buffet, with good choice of food.

The bar was shut, however you could get a beer served in reception.

Nice place and some improvements needed

Quiet and not expensive place. Walking distance from the train station. Parking was available on site.

Wifi coverage was not great, the rooms were not too soundproof, we heard someone snoring and noises were annoying sometimes. The double bed was composed from two single matrasses and there was a gap, not comfortable.

No internet, alloted the room in another part of building.

Breakfast is good.

I have stayed 2 nights and Internet was not there, I have called the receptionist and they ensure me for next morning and the next morning also internet not working. But in the main building the internet works well and I have checked it during the breakfast time. The room was in the next building on a 2 minute walk. So we have to come to the main building for the breakfast.

A comfortable short stay.

We enjoyed the variety of breakfast, and after a comfortable night sleep it was a great start to our day. It was situated in walking distance to the town centre which allowed us to join in a family celebration there, and enable us to walk back later on at night and felt safe to do so.

Great setup, just needs some help in the customer experience area

I liked the rooms - though would have loved to have one bigger bed, as requested, instead of two twin sized beds. The disco shower was hilarious - in all the years of travel, that was a first 👍 Beds were very comfortable - especially the pillows. Everything was clean. Loved the in room Tchibo coffee machine 💚 Breakfast was alright - though we had a picnic in our room because even though it was a pet friendly hotel, dogs were not allowed in the breakfast room (we couldn't leave her in the room, b/c it is my partners begleithund). Otherwise, very nice 👍

I didn't like that I set the filter extra for pet friendly, but then during the actual booking there was nowhere to "check or select" that we'd have our dog with us. Yes, I could've written it in the extras box, but I honestly didn't think about it. Anyway, it wasn't a problem, though the receptionist was kinda of a jerk about it - like how much we were inconveniencing HER by bringing our dog but at the same time was all too happy to tell me that there was an additional fee to pay (as well as for parking). No big deal. My biggest gripe is that no matter who was at the front desk, they seemed not at all interested in the quality of your stay, but much rather playing some sort of hall monitor pointing out all the problems and difficulties. I saw them acting that way to several other guests, as well - so it wasn't just us.

Good place for one night

This is a nice hotel if you want to spend one night during your journey. Good location from Meckenheim downtown. The room is correct even if a little bit old furnitures.

You can see that the hotel and rooms are a little bit old. The breakfast was correct but lack of fresh fruits and salty options. We were travelling with bikes so we were happy to see that there was a secure bike storage area however not covered so bikes were not dry the next morning because of the rain. As a summary, good hotel but maybe too expensive for what it is.
