I loved how open the layout is of the lodge, the big communal area in the kitchen with sofas and chairs. The little decking area out the back is also lovely. There was 5 of us staying here so it was really nice to be able to spend the time playing some games and chess and also getting to say hi and have a chat with other people staying there too. If anything, we wished we had stayed an extra night. We didn’t have to rush out the next day, we were told we could take our time which was such a nice thing to hear. The beds were super comfy (I’m a stickler when it comes to hard, tough beds so that says enough) the place was also so clean too.
To be honest, I liked everything about it. Lovely place, lovely owners, lovely area.

The location was good. Appreciated the clean towels daily and the downstairs sun room for meals
The hot water was iffy depending which upstairs room got the shower first and the radiator was sporadic with little or no heat.
