I enjoyed our stay very much and already have booked to stay again.
The pillows were very lumpy and flat. Not comfortable to sleep on. On our double bed there were 6 pillows. Only one had a few lumps which I was able to use, but even it was a bit flat.

Armagh Hotel review
Everything was good. We had an evening meal in the bar and found it very relaxing. The receptionist on check in was very pleasant and helpful and front of house staff for bar and breakfast areas very helpful.
Bedrooms a little too warm but no complaints really

5 star experience
from start to finish armagh city hotel exceeded my expectations. from the warm welcome and professionalism of the staff to the cleanliness and homely feeling of the cafe/lobby.
we stayed on the first floor and upon first impressions i was impressed with the modern/homely vibe the rooms give off. we faced out onto the main road but the sound proofing of windows would make you believe differently as we didn’t hear a sound.
this was the day after halloween and with my partner & I having a few too many the night before we wanted somewhere warm and cosy. the bed and facilities in the room gave us exactly that.
we weren’t able to stay long enough to use the pool facilities but going off the look and rave reviews we heard from other family members we will definitely be back to try those.
we came down for breakfast the next morning and i can confidently say this was the best tasting breakfast i’ve had from a hotel in a very long time. everything was fresh and hot (aswell as tasty) the staff couldn’t do enough for you (i even witnessed the manager going and getting more toast for a young child without having to be asked)
the checkout time was flexible enough. we checked out at 11am and it’s safe to say we hope to stay again as this was a great experience for me and my partner.
glowing 5 stars! if i could give more i would! great jobs guys keep up the hard work!!!

Good hotel for B&b
Room was grand, check in was great, breakfast was ok.
We had dinner in restaurant as part of a party booking, found the staff serving this did not have neither the bar or food service training, this was evident when they took drinks order's and food order's. Drinks were being brought to the table one at a time, the food service was very un organised.

Great place to stay. Definitely recommend.
Breakfast lovely, facilities lovely although snack bar had stopped serving as we arrived later.
Would have loved to purchase a swimsuit so I could use the pool.
Room was immaculate, shower good although I am wary of slippery floors.
Option to buy a swimsuit would have been good, as I would have loved to use the pool. The snack bar should have been able to take an order and send to room.

Loved the hotel room and bed, staff where great definitely coming back
This was my first time staying at the hotel, and there were several things I really liked. The location is great — close to the city — and I appreciated the free parking. The bed was big, spacious, and very comfortable, which made for a good night’s rest. I also liked that I was able to extend my checkout time by a few hours. Although there was a small charge, it was worth it and helped us avoid rushing.
I really appreciated my recent stay, but I wanted to share a couple of areas where I think the guest experience could be improved:
1. Room amenities
It would be a nice touch if complimentary bottled water were provided in the rooms. At similar price points in other cities, such as London, hotels often include at least two bottles per day.
2. Breakfast experience
Breakfast was less enjoyable than expected. As a non-pork eater, there weren’t many alternatives available — aside from fried or poached eggs made to order. A wider range of vegetarian or vegan-friendly options would make the offering more inclusive.
I also noticed some cross-contamination at the buffet (for example, the same utensil being used for potato bread and bacon), which could be a concern for non-meat eaters. The fruit selection felt limited (mostly apple and watermelon), and the croissants were a little hard. Adding options like bananas, oranges, pineapple, porridge, pancakes, or smoked salmon would really elevate the experience.
Compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in locally and abroad, a few small changes like these could make a big difference for guests and bring the breakfast offering in line with the hotel’s otherwise high standards.
But I would definitely stay again just wouldn’t have breakfast

Really enjoyed my stay and would book to stay here again.
Was very impressed with the size of the room, could easily be used as a family room with the size of the bed as well as also having a single bed.
We were there to see Jason Manford, which meant there was a large crowd in the bar area. Found that the bar service was slow, almost as if they were unprepared to cope with such a large crowd.
Same with the breakfast service. Staff were lovely but seemed overwhelmed.

We enjoyed our Enjoyed the hotel, disappointed with the late check in
The staff in the bar were so helpful and went out of there way to help us. The restaurant staff at dinner and pool staff were equally helpful. The hotel was clean and the room was excellent.
We arrived to check in at 2.50. We were then told to come back in 15 - 20 minutes as the room was not ready. When we came back 30 minutes later,we were told to come back in another 20 minutes. It was after 3.30 before we got checked in. Breakfast was like a free for all. We were told to sit up the stairs, but had to wait to get a seat. Then it wasn't explained to us how Breakfast worked.

Surprisingly comfortable and excellent value for money. Great free parking!
Breakfast: Excellent selection. Small things like "where is the Marmalade?" Then -"How is it dispensed?" Need a visual Instruction for visitors this please!
Room : very good and modernly fitted, somewhat noisey, but we knew it would be as we also had a great view of the city.
DInner : Too much food but I realise others might require this amount. Very tastey and well presented by a very attentive - but not intrusive- young waitress.
Not a lot - but we were told these are the "new" rooms. What the "older" rooms are like we cannot say!

Fabulous stay wouldn't hesitate to book again
Breakfast was great however the person seating us wasn't particularly great, we where off out to a cider in the city event and check in was very smooth and quick very friendly staff member, we asked about late check out and the team where very knowledgeable. Overall a great experience and we will be back
The team sorting out breakfast could have been a bit more friendly and informative

Brilliant and will definitely stay again, especially for a concert.
The friendly staff, especially the lady at reception. We had a lovely clean room, fantastic food and service.
Great function room for the concert.
The leisure facilities let the hotel down!! The steam room and the showers were not working with notes to say that it had been referred to maintenance. There was a musty smell in the pool area although we used it twice and the staff were fine.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Very relaxing atmosphere. We dined in the restaurant, the food was excellent. Breakfast was also excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Only thing to complain about was the weather. lol

Perfect upscale hotel in Armagh
The quality of the food in the restaurant was very good. The restaurant manager went out of her way to make up for a mistake the waiter made during a very busy Saturday evening dinner rush. Unfortunately, I cannot remember her name but she was really friendly and approached us proactively when she became aware that there was a problem. I was very happy about the professional and courteous way she handled the issue. All of the staff at this hotel were very friendly, including the security staff outside the main entrance. Very professional and willing to assist. I can highly recommend this hotel.
The pool is also a great plus for this hotel and the hotel premises are very clean.

Great stay and I will definitely come back in the future
Both breakfast and dinner was very nice an delicious. The staff was always smiling, very friendly and service minded at all times.
The spa area was a bit outdated and could use a refreshening.
The Gym was very good and you can train all bodyparts without any challenges.

Good location, comfy bed, nice stay
Bedroom very spacious and the bed very comfortable. Bathroom also spacious and shower was lovely, good temperature range. Check-in and check-out were very speedy! Outdoor parking was handy and location easy to find.
The breakfast buffet was warm but food not hot, and could do with more vegetarian-friendly options. Though the fry up had plenty to choose from, more non-greasy foods would be very welcomed. Television in room didn't connect to the streaming apps (e.g., Prime Video, Netflix) which was a shame.

Reception and grill staff
No electric car charger on site. Nearby locations at public car park etc not suitable for overnight and also are only slow chargers.

I love the hotel and can’t wait to return.
The property is really clean, rims are immaculate as as the rest of the hotel.
Most of the staff were lovely, but on the particular night in question I had a query and spoke to a more mature lady member of staff and she was very abrupt. She did not have a very good customer manner about her and all of my family agreed that they had a similar problem with this member of staff. Perhaps some training might help.

Just ok, but wouldn't repeat
Big bedroom, comfortable bed. Nice staff. Good location.
Room was too warm, no AC or fan. No fridge either so bottles of water or drinks were too warm.
Buffet breakfast was ridiculous for the price you pay for the room. Not many options (especially if you're looking for a Continental breakfast).
I had lunch once, carvery, not that great and again expensive for what you'd expect in a hotel like this.

Another pleasant stay at City Hotel
Good large room.
Good breakfast.
Pleasant staff.
Excellent location for walking to Armagh city.
Very convenient free parking.
No air conditioning.
Extractor not working in bathroom.
Noisy guests shouting in the middle of the night, though not the hotel's fault.

Hotel needs improvement
I liked the friendly receptionist who greeted us as well as the two lovely girls down in the spa. Room was big with comfortable beds. Please forgive description but the young ginger hair girl who worked her socks off to get our meals the way we wanted them. Price was OK.
Football tops being worn in the hotel restaurant especially as they'd worn them all day at a match. Hotel should have a no football shirt policy. The restaurant manager mooched about making folk feel uncomfortable and making no interaction with the clientele. Too many bar staff behind bar while customers waited to give their order for dinner. Very disorganised and floors dirty. Food was plentiful but not very tasty except for roast beef it was delicious. Dirty drinking glasses also felt food was over priced. Bedroom too hot perhaps sheets instead of duvet.

Room was very clean
Service in the bar was terrible, paid for meal
And 3 times the waiter came down to our table and asked us to pay again. Ordered drinks and on two occasions and was overcharged I had to constantly ask for receipts and when I queried the cost I was told ‘oh I charged you for another vodka’ it was haphazard and chaotic. Definitely was overcharged in the bar. Service was very slow waited 35 mins for food before asking where it was queue more confusion from the staff.
