Went to stay for our 1 year wedding anniversary and to see Dan McCabe. Lovely food, pleasant service staff. Comfortable and modern rooms.
We couldn't use the thermal spa because they only had one towel left and didn't offer to get us another. It was 4pm on a Saturday, surely staff could have offered to get towels from housekeeping?! This was really disappointing to be honest as we were looking forward to this.

Great waiting staff in breakfast area. Very helpful and friendly. Service in restaurant a bit slow but nice staff.

It was close to home & easy to get to, bar food was good price .
Checking in time-shocking. Used the pool for an hour came out at 3pm and was told room still wasn’t ready, (keep in mind check out time is 11am) 5 hours to clean a room?. Had to wait in car for an hour to check in as my 5 year old daughter was getting impatient waiting around . Pool water was disgusting could burly see the bottom of the pool with how cloudy and dirty the water was. 1 shower was working! Once we finally got into our room the heat was terrible I had to turn off the radiator in the room but the radiator in the bathroom was TERRIBLE. Couldn’t get it off at all the heat leading out into the room was actually sickening .The bed is rock hard - I was debating weather to get on to the floor and sleep as it would’ve been more comfortable, awake all nite untill 6 in the morning and got back up at 7:45. Not much of a selection at breakfast as I’ve seen better at other hotels. Ended up checking out at 9:20am I just couldn’t wait to get back home and sleep in a better bed.
