Clean, well located and comfortable with fantastic breakfast and very friendly, welcoming host
It’s a bit dated but the pros definitely outweigh aspect so wouldn’t hesitate to stay again

The breakfast was very tasty and diverse. One of the best from this point of view.
The room was ok, and we had also a small terrace. The furniture on the terrase was old and dated (and quite damaged and dirty).
Otherwise, the room was normal, they refurbished some old furniture to create a shabby design.
The bathroom was quite small, maybe a little difficult to use for someone overweight or with mobility problems.
In general was a positive experience.

A nice friendly hotel with an amazing breakfast.
We had the last room so it was a bit dark, with only a view of close balconies where. Someone was always smoking. But the biggest problem is the lack of parking, we used the car park they recommend, in at 1930hr.on Friday out 1030hrs Monday but had to pay for 3 FULL DAYS, a total rip off.

Breakfast is very good. Room is comparably spacious, although a bit outdated. The hotel is not far from the beach and there are plenty of restaurants around the hotel.
No mosquito nets for the window. There was a mosquito in the room at night, which was really annoying.

The breakfast was very good.
Noise from a bar outside all night.
Building site opposite. Started to drill before 7 am on Saturday morning.
Body wash was minimal. Not enough for a shower.
The room not renovated. An old rusty radiator in the room.
The furniture outdated.

The bed was comfortable.
The room was nice and spotlessly clean.
We had daily cleaning which we didn't expect.
The breakfast had a lot of options, which we also didn't expect.
The guy that runs the place was a little bored we thought, but when we needed his support he was very helpful.
There were also Halloween decorations which made the place even better.
Well done.
It seems that they do use a lot of plastic for breakfast servings.

The bed in the room was strange, however the mattress is very comfortable.

The rooms are unique, and the building is old. The breakfast was fantastic. Most things were packaged in portion sizes in plastic containers. The staff was friendly and helpful. Bathroom was clean.
Our room was boiling hot. In order to use the AC you had to talk with reception, and we got it turned on for a while which was good. But unfortunately, our room got warm again from accumulated heat and 3:30 am I was still struggling to fall asleep.

Breakfast was an amazingly varied selection of food - I've never seen anything like that in Belgium yet. It was also very safe regarding COVID - lots of small individually packaged things - yoghurt, fruit, meat, fish pate or salad, scrambled egg with bacon, jam, small bottle of milk - simply amazing. Very central location. There is also a little garden, but I did not get to use it, as it was raining on the day I came. Receptionist/owner is friendly. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast room and the hall look nice.
I asked for a quiet room when making a reservation, but what I got was the exact opposite. The walls are paperthin, with no sound insulation. I went to the concert, and returned around 1 in the night. The neighbour in the next room was talking loudly, as if it was noon, and I could hear it all as if he were in the room with me. I had to go and knock on his door to get him to lower his voice. (Now, that is not the hotel's fault, but the rude neighbour's, but there should be some sound insulation in the walls.) In the morning I was awakened at 7 o'clock by the works on the street, because the window was old, with only one layer and badly closing dilapidated frame, so it wasn't blocking the noise at all. This was the noisiest room I had ever stayed in - and at the time I made my booking there were still quite a number of rooms available, so they could have given me a more quiet one. I barely got 5 hours of sleep due to the noise.
The bathroom was so cramped that there was no place to leave the toiletry bag - individual toiletries could be put in a small cabinet, but not the bag (the one with the shower with a curtain shown on the hotel photos). I had booked for 2, but ended up being alone, which was good, as the chambermaid had left the other set of towels on the cover of the garbage can. I'm sure no one would want to use that "clean" towel. The wardrobe was in very poor state.
When you approach the few steps leading down to the elevator (coming from the room), you take the first step in the darkness, as the light kicks in only once you are already on the steps.
There was only one bag of good tea in the box for breakfast - all the rest was Lipton.

Great hotel with an amazing breakfast buffet. Owner very attentive and helpful. Obviously responds to people’s comments as there was a fridge, kettle and extra sockets in our bedroom
Could plainly hear people talking in the room next door

The location is of the property is ideal. Breakfast was nice and extensive. We really liked the older vibe of the hotel. The hotel is close to the beach and other places of interest.
The room was nice but sometimes annoying to move around because the room was not very big. (An example: the little fridge is located in a little cupboard next to the bed, but is hard to open because there isn’t a lot of space). The room had a little balcony which was very nice. Only the view of the balcony was a little disappointing. (A wall with pictures of the beach).
The host was nice and welcoming, but some of his remarks weren’t appreciated. In the room there is airconditioning available which you have to request at the counter. The second day of our stay we requested a short period of airconditioning because the room was very hot (around 26 degrees Celsius). The host didn’t look happy with our request. He gave a very derogatory response. “Airconditioning is expensive, and 26 degrees Celsius is cold enough.” We felt really embarrassed in front of the other guests, and looked down on.
I fully understand that airconditioning is expensive, but it shouldn’t be offered in the room if the guests aren’t allowed to use it. The response was not appropriate in my opinion and ruined our night.

Very clean room with a comfortable bed and bathroom. A generous and simply superb breakfast is served in a breathtaking room. Quite surprising in such an otherwise busy area the hotel has a nice garden too.

Great service. The owners were very kind hosts. Breakfast was also really good, with the necessary accomodations for Covid-related measures.
Booking.com should make it clearer (before the booking process) that check-in is until 22:30

Very nice breakfast with lots of things.
The location was nice but not accessible directly by car and dedicated parking is located a few blocks from the hotel. It can be confusing at first.

Very nice staff, helpful and proactive.
The breakfast was really good and a very good surprise. The location was perfect for walking to the beach. Very clean and cosy.
With the covid situation we could not enjoy the facilities of the hotel, but this is not anyone's fault. The room is a bit small, however this was well indicated in the description of the room.
