Hotel near the sea with friendly staff, facilities were a bit old but still comfortable

Friendly welcome and convenient check-in. Rooms with sea view and short walk to the beach. Small refrigerator in the room. The furnishings aren't new, but they're in good condition. Beds were comfortable, I slept well.

The toilet could be a bit cleaner. During my visit there was no hot water due to a technical defect, but this is certainly not the normal standard.

A relaxing stay in an excellent hotel.

The staff is so velcoming and warm and ready to help you in any way they can. We learned some more stuff on a local level which is always interesting. The breakfast is absolutely excellent and a lot to choose from and the staff asked us if there was anything extra we wanted - fried, scrambled, boiled eggs or bacon so it was all freshly cooked. There was no rush when it came to cleaning the room, if we were still in, they asked when it would suit us best. And you can leave your bag after check-out should you want to until you're ready to leave (the town by train, bus or cab).

We liked everything, no complaints whatsoever.

Never again…

Breakfast was nice! Location was good as well. The room was warm, heating worked well. Style of the hotel is outdated but could be charming for some (it has a lot of potential after serious renovation).

We slept very badly. Have been to numerous hotels in my life and have never been in one where the sound isolation is so bad! You heard EVERYTHING from the other rooms (flushing toilets, slamming doors, showering). When someone sneezed I thought they were in our room (sounds funny but actually its really not nice)… I could understand conversations from the room next door… this is really not done. Makes you feel like you dont have privacy at all. Felt tired after those two nights there…

We expected more from the property

The room don’t was totally clean. The heats work only sometimes (now is already cold) Don’t have also enough hot water and pressure! The only good about this property is the location and the bed was super comfortable, but we don’t will back in this hotel again! the price in booking was 56 €, after we paid there 110€.

An exellent stay in an historic hotel.

Great location, great hotel! Loved staying in this hundred year old plus hotel. The breakfast - buffet style - was really good as there was a lot to choose from. The staff was all very helpful and welcoming too. I definitely want to stay in this hotel again, and soon :-)

An affordable charactureful hotel

We chose this hotel because it suited out budget. We were not expecting anything fancy - so whilst other people may score lower we felt we got what we paid for. We used the hotel as a base to explore Bruges - the train station is only a 5 minute walk away. In the summer if you are lucky enough to get a reservation the hotel has a fantastic location for the beach.

My travelling companion is dairy intolerant - sadly the hotel did not offer alternatives such as soya or oat milk.

Probably better for autumn and winter

This hotel is rather old and old-fashioned: carpeted rooms, very small corridors and elevator, no airconditioning. But our beds were comfy, the room was spacious enough, the bathroom adequate and the breakfast was pretty good. The location is also rather perfect as it is close to the sea and the shops. Do not except too much from the sea view: you can only see part of it between two buildings but it's still nice.

As there is no real air-conditioning and it was a warm and sunny day the curtains had too be closed and the window opened to get some freshness in the room. So it's probably better to stay here on colder days. The rooms aren't very soundproof either.

Clean room, friendly stuff and nice breakfast.

The lady from the reception was very nice and friendly. She also gave us two vouchers from the hotel for a free drink at the Casino :) The breakfast was nice and I liked the little pot of coffee that we got. Overall I think it was a really good price for such a stay.

Das Hotel ist alt, und Renovierungs bedürftig. Es zieht zu den Fenstern rein, deshalb wird es nicht richtig warm im Zimmer. Die Strassenlampe war genau vor unserem Fenster, woduersch es auch in der Nacht hell blieb im Zimmer 🫤🫤🫤
