Bluebell Lodge with Hot Tub

Great location, gorgeous property, comfortable

There were a few marks on curtains, walls etc. there was damage to the floor on the way into the bathroom. Half of the jets in the hot tub were not working. There was some rubbish under the bed. Stain on the sofa, burn on the carpet. I am only able to attach 4 photos but have more if needed

The lodge is advertised and pictures shown to have privacy screens-this was not the case. We were disappointed with this aspect as those photos was what attracted us to book this lodge. At least five photos on the page showed the privacy screens. I messaged asking about these both during our stay and since we have left but have still not had a response. Overall communication was poor-we didn’t receive responses to our questions. The lodge was for upto 8 people, however the dining table only seated four and there wasn’t enough utensils and crockery. Behind the sofa bed there was a breadstick and dirt left from previous residents.

We booked very last minute as the owner of another lodge cancelled our booking. Bluebell lodge had everything we needed and was in a quiet, sunny spot on the site. It is a spacious lodge.

The property is very dated and tired looking - particularly the carpets and floors. It also smells damp and musty. Half the jets weren't working in the hot tub. The on-site restaurant was closed on the Saturday night for a private function and the pizza shack wasn't open at any time during our 3 night stay. This property was a lot more expensive than the one we originally booked.
