Good option for a city break

Very clean, beds very comfortable. Quiet! Host was attentive when we faced a small issue. Short walk into centre of Oxford and 1 permitted space which we utilised.

We didnt use the sofa bed element, but sofa itself wasnt particularly comfy.

A great serene apartment in Oxford with a good location, overlooking a quiet stream. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. The host provided very clear instructions for check-in and use of the facilities, and the parking just below the apartment was extremely convenient.

There was no elevator to the apartment but we were aware of it. Would be a perfect 10 if there's one.

Very well furnished flat. Two comfortable beds and a sofa bed available as well. The location is quite OK. 5 minutes from the station and 10-15 minutes from the centre. The hosts provided instructions clearly and timely.

Very good place to stay in Oxford, as a base to get to city centre. It is about 10 minutes walk away. The place's got everything needed for a comfortable stay. We received very detailed and clear instructions on how to get there, how to get the keys and where to park the car. I can definitely recommend this place.

Lovely and bright apartment that was perfect for our family of 6. The kitchen was well stocked for us to prepare meals everyday. Manu was very responsive towards our requests and questions too.

Unhappy Stay in Oxford

Her original location was good, 700m walk to the Oxford Station, but due to construction works on the Bridge, we needed to walk inside (like) a works site and fenced walls. The worst was when we used transport to the Apartment (via Uber) to/from the Station of Oxford Town, it took a big circle running about 7km :), and a lone time was required to call Uber to take us to the Town or interested places.

The facilities were old and very primitive, as compared our staying in Cambridge and Bath. That made us zero interest to cook, eat, and gather inside the Apartment. We just used it as a sleeping place. Another problem is the hot water for bathing (shower), totally insufficient. We had to stagger one by one every 30 mins. Too troublesome indeed.

A good option for those seeking two bedrooms

This apartment had everything we needed and was somewhat close to the city center. The beds were comfortable. We were able to park upon our early arrival to Oxford but only because we got lucky. The kitchen was well appointed for our breakfasts. There are hotels closer in town but this is a good option for those who need two adult-sized beds and two separate bedrooms. There are two good pubs close by The Punter and Hollybush.

It is import to note that the apartment is up three narrow flights of stairs in a 1950s style 3 story brick or concrete building. There is no view. The walk to the train station is at least 10 minutes and double that to the center of town. Parking in Oxford is very difficult and we didn’t realize that the parking permit typically starts at afternoon check in (3pm) and ends at 10am the day of check out. Our flights were early in the morning and late at night so we scrambled a bit. The apartment is small and I imagine more than 3-4 people staying there would feel cramped.

I would recommend this flat if you want a taste of living like the locals. It’s also quiet and we’ll-appointed.

The beds were comfortable (this means a lot). Manu was exceptionally helpful and such a joy to work with. It was like living in a real flat in a real neighborhood. I got a glimpse into Oxford living.

There is a (basically) one-lane road that one must traverse in order to get there. People are parked on both sides of the road leaving hardly any room to squeeze through. No lift.

Nice place for a short stay

The facilities were great and Manu was very helpful throughout our stay. The location was slightly less central than expected, and there were roadworks so we had to walk to the station to get a taxi (about a 10min walk)- but that was out of the hosts' control of course. The bedrooms were on the smaller side but clean and comfortable.

The deposit of £200 was not refunded on time. The morning it was due, I contacted Manu to make sure we would be receiving it in full. I did not hear back, so I later rang and he assured me I would have it by the evening. The evening came and I received nothing, and no message from Manu saying the deposit would be delayed. I messaged again, and still heard nothing. The next morning I rang Booking.com who were very helpful and contacted him themselves- only then did I receive the deposit. I was staying at Brookview for my graduation from Oxford University, so as a student £200 is a lot of money and I was disappointed to have to chase it when we made sure to leave the property in immaculate condition. The issue did taint our stay slightly as I was worried we would be continually put off and not get the deposit back. Aside from this, there weren't any issues other than the bathroom door being broken so it could not close properly.

Location, cleanliness of property, information given us beforehand, comfort, general facilities, quality of WiFi. We never met the host but information beforehand and in the property was good.

Unfortunately some major road works nearby gave us some problems in navigating a route to the street where the property was. This was not the fault of the property.

Fabulous

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Brookview. It is in a quiet waterside location away from any traffic yet easy walking distance to the train station and the city. On arrival, we enjoyed lunch at the Punter, a riverside pub close to the flat. The parking space, if coming by car, would be a great advantage. The flat is very comfortable, clean, well equipped and perfect for a city break to explore all that Oxford has to offer. Everything has been clearly well thought out in terms of excellent decoration, furnishings and kitchen facilities. It has a full cooker, a microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, large TV, iron, hairdryers etc. The beds are comfortable with good bedlinen, comfy pillows and a generous supply of towels. The host, Manu, provided clear information about the property and was extremely helpful, with timely, friendly communication throughout. We would highly recommend staying here.

Great location…quick walk into center of Oxford and train station. The apartment was very clean and beds were super comfortable. I stay up later at night than my friends so I really enjoyed the common room with the tv and sofa that you could close the door to so as not to disturb my friends sleeping. our host Matu was very prompt with communications and help. lovely local pub just at entrance to neighborhood.

The apartment was in a great location, not far from the railway station and the city centre. We didn't mind the rather special view of the power plant. I particularly liked the large kitchen, the bathroom and the excellent beds. The host is very friendly, helpful and accommodating and always quick to respond. Thanks Manu!

We were generally more than happy with the apartment, but if I had to say anything, I would have liked to have had more than 1 teatowel, 1 or 2 pans more and the cutting board is a bit tired. Also, the dishwasher cannot fully open due to the configeration of the kitchen, making it more difficult to place items in the bottom drawer. But these are really minor issues, as we had a great time in the apartment.
