Quick stay, no pool

Requested a bag of washing to be done and this was efficient. Bed was spacious and comfy, facility was pretty

We were only told on arrival that the pool wasn’t swimmable which was a huge disappointment because location is far from another stay to use other facilities or beach. The hot water kept going cold in the shower. We decided to check out early as not much to do around resort and breakfast didn’t start until 7:30 so we were given just a sandwich made from the night before in replacement of receiving any breakfast or fruit.

Best stay in Bali out of 5 places. AMAZING.

The staff was outstanding. They help you with everything you need and are so generous. We rented bikes from the property as well. The property is BEAUTIFUL. Trees, swimming pool, amazing rooms. This was an excellent stay. The restaurant also have very affordable and tasty food. Good breakfast.

Cannot complain about one thing. Perhaps just the same song that is playing the whole day at reception and the restaurant. :D

Amazing honeymoon

Lovely staff, beautiful surroundings. Absolutely amazing place. Beautiful pool with great poolside service for any meal or cocktails you might desire whilst having a swim. Tasty, beautifully presented meals. Very needed AC in the gorgeous rooms with lovely balcony. Great taxi services with nice drivers. You can order all you need from the front desk to do with getting around the island and doing activities. Various massages avaliable on site too.

The bathtub was a little dirty so we didn't use it.. but it was partially outside so it's understandable. There was a lovely shower we used instead.

The room and the stay was not particularly comfortable, better to spend a little extra and stay elsewhere.

The breakfast and the spa within the property was good

We stayed at the Suite room and the room was not well kept, bathroom ceiling and door had termites and there would be multiple snails crawling up the shower space post evening. The suite room has bedroom on the top floor and a living room and bathroom on the ground floor; the ground floor did not have Air conditioning or a fan and we couldn’t keep the door open for ventilation because of mosquitoes.

We absolutely loved it here and highly recommend! The most friendly, helpful, wonderful staff. Immaculate, stunning rooms, Spa and shower rooms. (We had two rooms for my family) We had massages in the Spa room - beautiful setting. Lovely big pool and children’s pool, set is lush jungle greenery, so so so nice. The breakfast was delicious and the best breakfast we’ve had on our trip - so good! We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return, we loved it here! Big thank you to all the staff for being amazing.

Excellent place to relax, eat and enjoy

The athmosphere, the rooms were very clean, the food was delicious! You can order at any time until late night. The pool it's big and not so many people go there to relax, most of the time is empty. There are some activities to do around the island (in 2 days you see most of the worthwhile places) including manta bay snorkeling and day tours. They have transfers, lanundry and massage services, basically everything you need. They treat you as a baby and don't need to worry about anything! A transfer to Gili Air? No problem! They will take care of everything. Just enjoy!

That's not a complaining per se, just to make aware other people that because it's somewhat a farm (they have roosters and hens) and you're in the middle of the jungle, maybe you'll have aome difficulties sleeping and animal sounds may make you up. I always bring my sleepbuds when travelling, so no issue for me.

Great village location

Situated in a pretty little village with several lovely temples. We could hear a distant gamelan rehearsal on a couple of evenings which was very special. Nestled in a quiet spot surrounded by the sounds of nature and the local roosters crowing. The bamboo restaurant building is particularly beautiful. Staff friendly and helpful.

Food was a little limited especially as there is nowhere else to eat there. I am gluten free so there weren't many choices. Lots of the chicken dishes were breaded. I tried a beef salad once and was disappointed. The beef was in a dark sweet and sour sauce, not like a salad dressing. The breakfast was good, other meals OK.

Overall good stay

Overall, it was a good stay; the room and facilities were good.

The room air conditioner was not working and was automatically turning off every hour. We had to restart the main connection every hour. No one told us this was an issue, and they did not offer an alternative room. After repeatedly asking for a fan, they said they did not provide fans. They only offered us a fan at night, after we asked for one at the reception. The staff then admitted the air conditioner was a problem.

Escape and unwind in lush surrounds

Staff welcoming and helpful- very warm approach to customer relations. Facilities and rooms wonderful-exceptional value for money. A serene stay within a beautiful complex, surrounded by lush green garden and gorgeous pool area. Food amazing and service in the dining area exceptional. Position a little tricky, as tucked away on island-so transport essential to get back to coast. Having said that I walked to the beach and it took about 40 minutes through peaceful villages to get there. Overall an outstanding stay, away from the hectic Instagram sites and tourist overflow. A real escape if you are looking for the ultimate in peace and serenity.

It was beautiful and the staff amazing! They take care of anything you need. Massage was heavenly bliss! You can rent scooters or get pick ups and drop offs by the lovely team.

Would not recommend

It is unclear to me why this property is rated so highly. There’s nothing awful about it, but also nothing particularly nice either. Food is average, and the lobby and pool area were so deserted and uninviting that I didn’t spend any time there. The pictures look way more flattering than reality. The rooms are incredibly noisy at night and the mosquito net in the room doesn’t help one bit.

The rooms are great. Clean, comfortable and very nice. The staff is just the best! So nice, helping were they can. Amazing breakfast. The location is ver nice to get around the whole island - you will need a scooter. The best you can get for the price!

Roosters and dogs are in the area which can make some noice. It didn‘t disturb us - we slept amazing.

Resort is truly real nice. Embedded into nature - including some animals (roosters) which don't necessarily are quiet in early morning hours ;) staff is super friendly and supportive. Very good location to explore island from.

Just be aware of location. You NEED some means of individual transportation (scooter, car...).

The resort is an oasis on top of the hills. It's beautifully made, filled with people making your stay incredible. You have all the amenities you need, yet peaceful. I felt it to be more Bali than Bali. Loved the banana pancakes in the morning.

I would have probably loved some alcoholic beverages in the menu. The only option is beer.

The most perfect welcoming stay - very happy :)

The moment i arrived at Bila penida i knew it was a special find as the hotel staff were all incredibly honestly lovely and genuine, always so welcoming morning to night. The island has so many fantastic attractions for tourists but this resort & farm is very special for the reasons of investing so much care and attention to detail throughout the resort. I was incredibly happy and grateful to have spent my birthday with the Bila penida team as they made me feel so special by providing a birthday cake welcome and it was such a nice surprise and made me feel just at home. Thank you to the Bila manager and team for preparing such a lovely gift. Throughout my travels in Bali i can easily say Bila resort was my favourite place to stay as the bungalow offered so much luxury and was so incredibily clean. I had the most perfect stay and could have easily stayed longer!

only thing would be limited food menu possibly. The style of the coffee could be improved to a smoother tastier blend, and possibly the coffee can be prepared with a milk throther to provide a smoother texture. But this is only subjective opinion!

Would come back

Staff is super friendly, food in the restaurant is amazing, pool is nice. Floating breakfast was only 150k and so cool! It was great to stay here.

Things that could be improved: - Add hand soap at the sink - Fix the bathroom door that makes a lot of noise when there’s wind - Add WiFi in the rooms - A new shower head (current one is barely working and has no pressure at all)
