Location 5 mins walk into Ambleside. Views were fantastic. It was really spacious apartment. Beds comfortable. We really thought it was a lovely apartment didn’t get all the bad reviews but below I have put things to improve but this didn’t spoil our time in apartment.
Just a few things that need improvement. Could have been cleaner. The dishwasher just needed salt which we bought and added. The lock on front door needs adjusting as it was really stiff to close from inside. Outside light didn’t work. Main light in twin room didn’t work there was a bulb in draw but the fitting was broken. Only 2 decent sized mugs probably broken over time also would be nice in self catering to have decent sized wine glasses instead of ones that were probably free. But none of this would stop us booking again as this did not spoil anything .

Lovely and clean apartment. Amazing location 10mins to local shops, cafes and bars including the lake. The view was lovely from the terrace and good air fans in rooms. Could see the Jets passing in the mornings which my sons enjoyed. Great walks and beautiful scenery. Definitely returning again. Great memories made
Had a problem with the boiler but this was taken care of and we didnt need to be in the property for them to access. Not waiting around. Unable to use the jacuzzi. Would be nice for the terrace to maybe have some plants and lights would make a difference.

We arrived to find the sofa in the living room collapsed. I took photos and immediately contacted Sykes. Although they were sympathetic nobody took responsibility to fix the problem or offering compensation. Overall I feel let down.

Maybe replace soap dispensers in main bathroom and ensure there is enough dishwashing liquid.
It mentioned there would be biscuits….we didn’t find any and no milk. Other than that everything was great.

Location is okay, on a busy road so is very loud
Insect infestation in main bedroom bathroom, that spread to the bed, we woke up with 100s insects in bed with us. I have photo proof. Attempted numerous ways to contact host and they never responded to us till 2 weeks after the trip. Had to leave the house at 7am to find a shop of insect killer. Host contacted us 2 weeks later to sort our complaint and had never gotten back to me since

There is no breakfast at this accommodation.
The washing machine and dryer are too small for family unit. The door lock on the 2nd floor exterior is broken and the ground floor door lock is flimsy.

On first impressions as we drove up my heart sank. Right on the main Ambleside road, next to a car park and a shabby entrance way. Inside a different story. Bright, light and well equipped. Clean and tidy and comfortable beds. Traffic noise muted and sun streamed in. Great trails from the door and an easy walk to the lake and town. Loved laying in the bath watching TV after a long day of walking. I would stay here again. Parking space was fabulous in an area short on parking.
Tidy up the front door. Make the washing machine easy to get to. Just tidy up the cupboard so you don’t have to move the Hoover and mop. The 4pm check was inconvenient. A 3pm would be good after a long drive.

The living room and kitchen were very spacious and it was great that we both had our own bathrooms. The location was perfect and we loved have a designated parking space. The windows and the terrace were lovely.
The door and lock definitely need replacing as we found it difficult to enter and leave the property as the lock seemed quite old. Was surprised that there were no batteries in the dvd remote.

Beds were comfy and if it had been clean and decluttered I suppose it would have been quite nice. Not sure the soft furnishings cushions etc are hygienic ( are they replaced after each visit? I think not) .
It was filthy. I expected it to be exceptionally clean due to Covid regulations and was shocked and upset to find it ad I did . I had just spent four days at Center Parks which was immaculate. This place cost twice as much and was disgraceful. It looked like an untidy property that someone had been living in and left without tidying up five minutes before we arrived. You could still see where they had been sitting on the sofa as the cushions hadn’t even been straightened. Lots of personal items including a teddy bear and used batteries were on the side. The floors hadn’t been vacuumed and I found several bits of rubbish lying around even crisps in the cutlery drawer amongst dirty knives. The tv in the lounge wouldn’t work and neither would the dishwasher. There was a red light on indicating that it needed attention. The apartment is on a busy main road opposite a large garden centre and overlooks a car park . There was noisy building work that we hadn’t been told about taking place adjacent to this car park. The sofa was torn and dirty. There were teabags in an opened box along with other food items which I found odd. Certainly unhygienic and should be renewed after each visitor but I had my own. The fridge was dirty snd smelly and I left the food I had brought in my cooler box and as I didn’t want to use the oven we ate out . Personal items in the wardrobe prevented its being used and it was impossible to reach the washing machine due to items including a vacuum cleaner being placed in front of it. The oven was filthy and full of food. The hob needed cleaning. There were crumbs all over the floor, worktops dining chairs and sofas. The dishwasher had not been emptied. I am glad that my terminally ill partner undergoing chemotherapy was too unwell to come as I felt that it would have been a risk for him to stay here. Obviously no Covid precautions have been taken at all.

Location and open-plan of living area. And upstairs bedroom
Minor things really, which are very easily addressed. The coffee machine needed a sterile clean as the coffee was horrid and had that stale, unclean water taste. Better glasses for alcohol. Supply mugs, rather than small cups and saucers,
