Very bad stay

The bed not clean the small was very bad and there is hair in the pillow , the shower water doesn’t go through the drain , the fridge doesn’t work and the small was bad when i open it ,the floor was shaking, the apartment is a disaster and i was very shocked, i stay one night because i arrived night and I don’t have another option, i lose my money and it was very bad condition

Not worth the Money. Passable!

The only thing that is good about this property is the location. Access to train station, supermarket and a bunch of bars and restaurants is very handy.

There are a number is issues which made my stay unenjoyable. Hope this review helps someone make a decision. Booked this property for a long stay -30 days. Main reason was the good reviews and access to the train station. However our problems started from the day of Check-in. Out of the two lifts, one was permanently broken and the only lift for the whole building was out of order!! . There was no update or anyone available to talk to and get help. I couldn’t checkin with 8 bags and almost 7 floors to climb. Dared to carry two bags and gave up. Had to extend my stay in the previous property and come back later in the night when the lift got fixed. Was informed by other tenants that The lift issue is the worst of all problems in this building and is a regular issue. The flat itself is a bit dated and needed a makeover. The floors board creak so loud that it’s almost impossible to walk around without waking up the kids. The whole house is made of huge glass windows which makes it really hot when the temperatures cross 20*c. The fridge was dated, and freezer completely broken. Upon multiple chases, was asked to switch off fridge for 48 hours and reuse. This was not possible as we had food inside the fridge. Finally after a couple of weeks we were dumped with a charity brought fridge which was mouldy and broken from inside. Dishwasher was dated and shelves broken. The curtains in the bedroom were the worst part. They hardly cover the windows and the glass windows throw so much light that a person like me cannot sleep beyond sunrise- mostly 5a.m in summers. There is no Air Con and ended up opening the windows every night for a bit of breeze. But the restaurants downstairs have some cleaning truck coming every day at around 5:30 a.m making loud noise of empty bottles being dumped and almost gives you an unwarranted alarm!!. The other major issue is the amount of dust that comes into the house. Being a flat which faces a major road.

Easy, comfortable, cosy.

Stayed here for a night as I had an early meeting the next day in the area. Apartment was really clean and had everything I needed, all the essentials. Really enjoyed my stay here and will be re booking for future meetings in the area. Thanks again!

SCAM!!! was asked for a separate £200 deposit that wasn’t included in the booking.com fee and was also told it will come straight back to me after checking out from the property I stayed there for 1 night from Wednesday till Thursday morning and I still haven’t received my £200 back DO NOT BOOK HERE!

Even though the apartment itself is lovely, I agree with the previous review that it is run down, front door is scratched up, looking very scatty! It was not a good first impression, as I was staying with children. The sofa stunk of cigarette buds. The cabinet next to the front door stunk of mould and upon opening, filled the whole flat with a bad toxic smell. I didn’t want to make a big deal, as I was only staying for one night and was not planning on returning, however it is worth sharing with others so they can make an informed decision. Moreover, I received a £100 parking fine as the UKPC advised that the parking permit provided was invalid. The host advised us to appeal it, she said that it happened to many guests, as well as her housekeeper. Despite BEING AWARE of the issue, the host advertised the property with a free parking and didn’t let me know before the booking or even afterwards, when explaining about the keys, that I could potentially receive a parking fine. As a mother of 3, I don’t have time nor energy to play cat and mouse games with Booking and the host. I asked for a refund to cover the fine, only to be refused and was asked to submit an appeal, the host advised she couldn’t help me further. That was extremely stressful and time consuming and after a month of back and forth conversations, I was still at point blank. 25 days later, UKPC, following the appeal where I provided a copy of the permit I received from the host, advised again, that the parking permit was invalid. No one was willing to help neither the host nor Booking.com. They asked me to respond back and appeal the appeal! I explained that if the matter was not resolved within the timeframe specified, I would be taking court action, as if by magic, the host then sent me an email confirmation of a cancelled charge. I still yet to receive a confirmation from UKPC directly. Stay away unless you want to wake up with a fine and a lot of hustle afterwards.

Disappointing

Good central location in Milton Keynes, with easy walking access to the station, shops and a wide range of restaurants. The 2 bedroom apartment was a reasonable size. The kitchen had adequate equipment for a long stay - we were there for 2 weeks during a relocation. The hosts were friendly and responsive and dealt with issues quickly.

We arrived 2 days after an extreme heatwave in the UK and the flat felt like a sauna. There were fans and coolers, but they barely impacted the heat. Unfortunately, although the temperatures returned to normal quite quickly, the temperature in the flat didn't, rarely dipping below 27C despite keeping all of the windows open and running the fans. The building is made entirely of glass, so the heat is relentless and it made for a very uncomfortable stay. The flat has WiFi which was fine for day to day activity; however, although it is advertised as having Netflix, in reality you can't watch it as the WiFi just doesn't have enough bandwidth. We eventually gave up after the screen constantly froze and dropped out. The flat is situated above The Hub, which has around 10 late night restaurants, and it does get very noisy on the weekends until late (most close at 1.30am). Overall, the flat is generally run down and a bit grotty. Lots of broken items, some of which we reported and were dealt with, but it felt like we were constantly coming across problems - broken drawers, broken tin opener etc. Small within themselves, but all adding up to a fairly unpleasant stay. After 2 weeks, we relocated to another serviced apartment very close by and at a similar price point. By comparison, it was like chalk and cheese in every way, so I would neither stay here again nor could I recommend it.

Apartamento luminoso pero deficiente en servicios

Es un apartamento súper luminoso en una cuarta planta con una súper cristalera, amplio y confortable. Había una cuenta abierta y disponible de Amazon prime en la TV, cosa que se agradece.

Solo te dejan una llave para acceder al apartamento, pero necesitas la llave cada vez que entras o sales del apartamento, porque para acceder a edificio, necesitas la llave de acceso para abrir las 2 puertas, y me parece increíble que no te dejen el código para acceder, siendo este más cómodo, o no te dejen mínimo dos copias de llave para mayor comodidad. Porque vi como los vecinos que viven en el edificio acceden al mismo directamente con un código y no usan la llave de acceso. La puerta del apartamento tiene dos cerraduras pero solamente te dan la llave de una de ellas, y para poder acceder al apartamento tienes que empujar la puerta con todo tu cuerpo y prácticamente tumbarla abajo porque la cerradura esta tan dura que no se abre fácilmente. Hay dos ascensores pero solamente funciona uno y es un edificio muy alto con muchos vecinos y a veces toca esperar mucho tiempo para que pueda bajar o subir, y sinceramente me parece una pérdida de tiempo. En la cocina no había: sal, aceite, azúcar o cualquier otro elemento básico de primer uso. No había detergente de lavarropa, y la calefacción al ser general de edificio funcionaba bastante mal, les pedí a la agencia un radiador extra, y lo que hicieron fue mandarme a la señora de la limpieza a que corrigiera el termostato, y la señora hizo lo que pudo pero no lo arregló, y había días en que la casa estaba completamente fría. Solo me dejaron una toalla de manos y una de cuerpo para un apartamento de dos habitaciones por una semana y tuve que pedir un par de toallas extras, que me trajeron al día siguiente, y también les tuve que pedir unos cuchillos porque los que habían en la casa no cortaban ni una patata o un pimiento. es un apartamento con mucho potencial pero creo que faltan detalles a mejorar que harían que la estancia fuera más confortable.
