Beautiful house, beautiful location. Come for peace, quiet, relaxing walks, chats
The location of the cottage. The lovely downstairs rooms, several receptions and the open kitchen. A bit scary, operating the range but it soon, sort of, worked although understanding it completely would take awhile. Really liked the cottage, the furnishings, the garden.
I don't know why an adult single bed isn't fitted into the 'child's room' instead of the too small for most people, child's bed. It could easily be accommodated. Yes it'd be a squeeze but that does then complete the count of bedrooms, most people wouldn't have a small child that exact size when coming to stay in a house like this, so it does seem like a waste of a bedroom. Irritating.

Lovely location. Issue with heating quickly sorted by Management company & owner.
Sykes that act as a third party between Booking.com & owner/Management company sent numerous lengthy emails (often duplicated) and never responded to any of our questions/queries.

The gardens were lovely but it would be nice to have a bit more colour as it's summer. But non the less we loved the wildness and the different gardens within the garden. Lots of herbs and wildlife.

We fell in love with this flat — beautifully furnished, spacious, and simply perfect!
We loved our stay! The flat is very nicely furnished and spacious, equipped with the essentials. The weather was great when we stayed, so we were able to enjoy the private balcony. The free car park was a massive plus too! It felt really safe there — the flats are modern, well-maintained, and everything looks very new. Overall, just a lovely place to stay. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely book with Jemna, who was an amazing host — very warm, helpful, and responsive.

we thought the annex and cottage would be joined together.. it didn’t matter too much (2 sets of front door keys would have been useful).

Lovely cottage and garden. 2 little sitting rooms and a conservatory with big table Aga 20 minute walk to The Stag in Barkston (head torch supplied)
My little spaniel would have been so happy here but I don’t think they allow pets…

Brilliant Location and lots of Amenities
Very spacious, remote location and lots of quiet reading areas. The BBQ was great and the large outside and conservatory tables were brilliant for family board games.
