The open plan living area with exposed high ceilings gave it a more spacious look. The netflix and wifi was good, especially when it was loadshedding.
I prefer white towels and duvet covers and some of the kitchen drawers were dirty on the inside, as well as the kettle.

Tiki Hut is in a quiet and nice spot on The Golden Mile close to St Helena Bay. The cottage has a spacious open plan living - dining - kitchen area plus an outside patio so living space is ample.
1. The bedroom: it was mid-winter and really cold. The norm is electric blankets in all the places we stayed during winter, but not Tiki Hut. The bedding was summer sheets and blankets. We had to put 3 blankets (quite a weight to sleep under) on the bed to counter act the cold and it is a standard double bed only. We did not really had a comfortable sleep. We booked for 3 nights but checked out after 2 nights in search of a more comfy sleep elsewhere. 2. The bathroom: There is no shelf or any rack or little cupboard to put your toiletries, shaving gear, etc so we landed up putting it on the edge of the bath tub. I recommend the owner get an electric blanket for winter season or at least a soft inviting duvet and not just the blankets. A friendly shelve or rack in the bathroom will help as well.

The Tiki Hut is very well located, close to the beach. It is a very spacious apartment and outside area.
The apartment is in desperate need of a deep clean. There is also some maintenance issues.
The kitchen is really dirty, the drawers and cupboards are stained and full of dead insects. The toaster, pots and pans are not hygienic at all. Kitchen utensils need to be replaced.
The shower door is not working properly and there is absolutely no shelf or place to put your toiletries.
The coach and scatter cushions are full of white dog hair. The sliding door is loose and need attention. The sheets were clean, but the blankets not.
The backyard can be nice, but unfortunately is in a bad state.
With the necessary maintenance and attention from the owner, this apartment has so much potential.
Reviews from 2023 that had issues - nothing has changed, still the same problems.
