Beautiful, quiet and well appointed room overlooking the jardin public. Helpful staff.

The location and check-in process were fabulous and the apartment was exceptionally clean and very, very fancily equipped/furnished. I would say that a single traveller or couple could have an exceedingly luxurious stay here.

Since there were 3 of us and we used both beds, the double in the bedroom and the pull-out sofa in the living-room (which we had to open ourselves on arrival), it did feel a little crammed. I would say that the pictures perfectly captured the grandeur of the place, but that I overestimated the width of the living-room based on the photos. The living-room becomes harder to navigate once the pull-out couch is in use. There is also no brick wall or at least a block-out curtain (instead, a glass wall and very light curtains) between the bedroom and the - otherwise excellent! - bathroom. This means that, once people in the bedroom are asleep, using the shower with the light on poses the risk of waking them; and once the people on the pull-out couch are asleep, the bedroom occupants have to tiptoe around them to get to either the bathroom, the kitchen or the toilet. So, once there is a third traveller, everyone becomes quite dependent on everyone else's bedtime/bathroom/toilet schedule. I would happily come back with my husband, but would not be as keen to return with our child.

Maison Labruyère Bordeaux - Jardin Publc Stay 23 June to 27 June Not so good - parking v tricky - very odd bathroom arrangement - unacceptable time keeping re checkin - would not work with more than 2 people - far too small - kitchen utensil equipment level poor - cooking facilities, very limited, two hobs and a microwave - no shelving for food etc. - substantially non existent storage for clothing - tiny fridge Unacceptable - we came back one evening to an infestation of flying ants. The bedroom was not habitable - happens - Urgent calls for help at 10pm to the property managers ignored. Follow on WhatsApp msgs with attached video then sent. We could see that the messages with attached video were being read, but no phone pickup. When finally the WhatsApp message contact was responded to, we were informed that they would come round the next day at c1.00pm - no one was available earlier and told it’s just what happens with garden apartments. Very patronisingly. It was lucky we had a can of insecticide, so we could stop the infestation and we were pointed to the location of the “house” vacuum cleaner, allowing the dead ants to be hoovered up - otherwise we would have had to move out overnight - solicitous calls the next day - offering 15% refund - never received via Booking.com or anywhere - subsequent call looking to avoid a bad review Lack of timely help/response when sought and lack of promised refund- unacceptable
