Kizikula - Boutique Hotel

We loved Kizikula so much that we spontaneously came back for a second stay during the same trip — which probably says it all. It’s the perfect mix of cozy, intimate and beautifully designed, with so much style and understated elegance without ever feeling pretentious. We especially loved the self-sufficient, nature-conscious philosophy and the feeling of being truly connected to the place rather than staying in a typical resort. The team was wonderful — warm and genuinely caring, always there when you needed them, but never intrusive. It’s peaceful, personal and effortlessly beautiful. If you love barefoot luxury, nature, thoughtful design and a relaxed atmosphere more than crowds and Instagram-style resort vibes, Kizikula is a very special place. We’ll definitely be back. ❤️

Our stay at Kizikula in Zanzibar was truly magical and one of the highlights of our honeymoon. What we loved most was the incredible location and the beautiful view of the sea. The atmosphere is peaceful, intimate, and authentic, exactly what we were looking for during our honeymoon. The food was another highlight: fresh, organic, authentic, and absolutely delicious. The staff made the experience even more special. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. A special thank you to Saidi, Sarah, Juliette, Josifato, Jospeh, and Nema, as well as the entire team, for making us feel so welcome and well cared for. Our room was spacious, exceptionally clean, comfortable, and exactly as shown in the photos. The whole property is beautifully designed and feels very connected to the surrounding nature. There is also so much to do without losing the peaceful atmosphere. We enjoyed bike rides, swimming in the sea during high tide, walking along the beach at low tide, and relaxing by the panoramic swimming pool with its stunning ocean view. Also you can book activities outside the hotel like visiting stone town or doing a boat ride to a sandbank or visiting spice farms. Every part of the experience felt unique. Kizikula was the perfect place to spend our honeymoon together. Beautiful scenery, wonderful people, excellent food, and an atmosphere that we will remember for a very long time. Thank you to the entire Kizikula team for making our honeymoon so special. We would absolutely love to return one day and highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone visiting Zanzibar.

The only downside was the journey from the airport, which was a little long, with some roads in poor condition but this is of course unrelated to the hotel itself.

Everything exceeded our expectations. The experience was truly wonderful, from the exceptional staff to the amazing food. Literally everyone went above and beyond what we expected. The entire team was incredibly friendly, always smiling, and always available whenever we needed anything. Their genuine hospitality made us feel very welcome and well taken care of throughout our stay. One of our favorite moments was when they arranged for us to cook the sesame bread together with the chef. It was such a lovely and personal experience, and they even kindly gave us the recipe when we asked for it. We absolutely loved it! Overall, an exceptional experience with an amazing team. We would definitely recommend this place.

The only aspect we feel could be improved is the lighting. More lighting would be helpful along the walkways, on the final part of the road leading to the hotel, and especially around the main parking and entrance area. These areas feel quite dark and do not reflect the overall quality and beautiful experience of the hotel.

I loved the sunset, the food, and the vibe, the stuff are nice and welcoming

The ac in one room was broken and they couldn’t fix it, not enough water always, same food every day, the road to the hotel is very bad.
