Peaceful, friendly environment close to public transportation.

Location very convenient to public transit. Pleasant neighbourhood for walking, with grocery store, HEMA, restaurants and interesting architecture close by. Attractive, large bedroom, although the light was dim so it was difficult to read. Ali, Linda and Laurent were all very friendly, helpful and communicative. Cleanliness depends on occupants, but was good during my stay. I recommend that you read all reviews and responses to get a good idea of what the property is like. It's not a typical North American experience, which is only to be expected if one is in Belgium! Breakfast not included, but there's a fully equipped kitchen. Merci, Linda, Ali, et Laurent. Vous m'avez chaleureusement accueilli et m'ont beaucoup aidé.

The front entrance was challenging to open from the inside. I would be concerned about this in case of a fire. I was not aware that there was a light switch at the top of the stairs until the second day of my stay (it was beside another tenant's bedroom and I couldn't see it in the dark), so I had to go downstairs in the dark. Twice male residents came out of the bathroom wearing nothing but a towel. I didn't feel threatened at all--they were charming--but I was taken by surprise. Bed was very creaky; it would be helpful to tighten up the screws.

Very nice and comfortable room. The attention of the person who receives you is very good.

The wooden floor of the house creaks a lot and from the bed you can hear the movements of the other tenants. The cleanliness of the bathroom, since it is shared, depends on the care of the other tenants.

Disappointing

When the heating was broken, the owner came quickly and fixed it. The kitchen facilities are reasonable and the shower in the shared bathroom works well. This would be suitable for people on medium term stays in Brussels, not for a holiday.

The room was cold (heating was initially broken, fixed as soon as I reported it on second day and warmed up a bit), the walls are very thin and I could hear the person next door on the phone for hours. The toilet is downstairs and through the kitchen, which is a long way to go at night.

Schoon schattig hostel met wat sleutelproblemen

Nice hostel, very clean, cosy, and with a good bed. Nice host (spoke barely English but we understood eachother). Location is fine, a little further from the main area’s but with a scooter(step) you are everywhere in a few minutes.

A bit difficult to see if you’re already their because their is no hostel sign on the doors. I also had some problems with opening/closing (bath)(room)doors with my key but it worked with help from another girl who stayed their.

La signora ch mi ha accolto è stata molto gentile e disponibile, abbiamo anticipato il check-in. Il che è stato molto comodo. La zona in cui si trova il beb è molto bella, sicura e centrale.

la casa ha bisogno di molta manutenzione che purtroppo non viene fatta. Ci sono mattonelle rotte, ante della cucina molto rovinate. L’ambiente non è molto curato, sembrerebbe più un ambiente in cui ci abitano delle persone più che un beb. Il portone d’ingresso dello stabile anche molto rovinato e difficile da aprire. Peccato perché con un po’ di manutenzione e cura sarebbe un bel posto

Schlechte Unterkunft

Der Eingang ist ein Garageneingang, Ich kriegte Panik, konnte die Tür nicht öffnen, es war eine Baracke. Niemand war da. um mir zu helfen, ich war froh ais ich weg konnte. Die Anzeige ist missverständlich. Zu Beginn z.B. steht, dass das Zimmer eine Dusche hat, später wird ein Gemeinschaftsbad und eine Gemeinschaftstoilette erwähnt. Das hatte ich überlesen und so musste ich immer zu den sanitären Einrichtungen eine Treppe auf die untere Etage gehen.

Το δωμάτιο ήταν πραγματικά υπέροχο! Έμεινα 15 μέρες και έμεινα απόλυτα ικανοποιημένη από τις παροχές και ένιωθα σαν στο σπίτι μου. Η τοποθεσία εξαιρετική καθώς ναι μεν δεν είναι κέντρο Βρυξελλών, όμως είναι πολύ εύκολη και γρήγορη η μετακίνηση με τα μέσα ή τα πόδια και κοντά με τα πόδια βρίσκεται το Bois de la Cambre! Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ για την άψογη φιλοξενία, θα σας προτιμώ σίγουρα κάθε φορά!

Logement simple, bien situé, à privilégier pour un court séjour sans trop d’attentes en confort

Le logement est bien situé, dans un quartier agréable et sûr, avec de chouettes cafés aux alentours. Il est fonctionnel, avec tout le nécessaire pour cuisiner (frigo, congélateur, ustensiles). C’est un bon pied-à-terre pour quelques jours, surtout pour le prix demandé ! :) Dans l'ensemble, le logement est fonctionnel mais mériterait un petit coup de rénovation. L’intérieur est un peu vétuste, avec des traces d’usure visibles et un petit début de moisissure dans la salle de bain. On sent qu'on est dans un logement "bricolé", et c'est ok !

Il y a probablement trois gros points à prendre en compte avant de réserver : 1. L’entrée est un espace commun non sécurisé, donc il n’est pas possible d’y laisser vélos ou trottinettes sans risque. La propriétaire ne garantie rien, et m'a déjà indiqué que des vols avaient déjà eu lieu. La chambre se verrouille avec une clé ancienne (clé à barbe). Personnellement, j'ai caché mes affaires de valeurs dans un coin de la chambre au cas où. 2. L’escalier menant aux chambres est très étroit, ce qui complique l’accès avec des objets encombrants. 3. L’insonorisation est faible à cause du plancher ancien : on entend facilement les autres occupants. Il ne faut pas avoir de problème avec le bruit, car on entend vraiment tout ce qui se passe. Mais dans l'ensemble, par rapport au prix, à l'emplacement et la liste des services proposés, c'est plus que raisonnable ! :)

Logement adapté pr back-packers proche ULB

Proximité avec ULB, chambre assez spacieuse et lumineuse. Bon rapport qualité-prix. Accueil chaleureux de l’hôte (Linda).

Mauvaise insonorisation avec les chambres voisines en location. Accès peu aisé via un escalier raide et étroit et aussi pour accéder à la SDB (il faut passer par la cuisine encombrée par un sofa géant). Le lavabo n’offre pas d’eau chaude (peu confortable et risqué pour se raser notamment).
