Chapel House

A true masterpiece in Dearham, Cumbria! This house is absolutely beautiful and incredibly spacious—easily the best place I’ve stayed at in the area around the Lake District. Honestly, calling it a "house" doesn't do it justice; it feels more like a palace! The property is a work of fine art, beautifully decorated with lovely paintings, thoughtful touches, and exceptional cleanliness throughout. The attention to detail is remarkable. They provide all types of cleaning supplies and even have a dedicated storage room stocked with extra supplies. They also provided laundry detergent and dishwasher soap, and the kitchen is fully equipped with every size of cookware and dishware you could need. There were plenty of fresh, clean towels that smelled wonderful, along with a thoughtful welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits, milk, and wine (though we don't drink). The beds were extremely comfortable, and the bathrooms were spotless. To be honest, even if the price I paid for a week was the cost for just one night, I wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

A few minor drawbacks: Checkout Time: Checkout is strictly at 9:30 AM, which is a bit early compared to the standard 10:00 AM in the area. Privacy: The bedroom doors do not have keys or locks. Dishwasher: While the dishwasher was clean overall, there was some food residue trapped in the rubber seal around the door that needed a quick clean. Overall, a wonderful stay in Dearham and highly recommended!

Fabulous home and ideal for a large work group. We will definitely use again or personally, beautiful property.

A lovely and big house, all good sized bedrooms and tidy. Nice big table to all sit around and comfy sofa etc. Lovely having a pool table but the conservatory where it was stored was freezing!

The heating was faulty and kept getting turned down when we set it- it was like someone was controlling it from another location… with only a very small amount of wood for the fire available and 3 children under 4 and the coldest night of the year this wasn’t ideal. Was a shame so little wood was left when it costs a lot to come. £700 for a weekend and I wood expect that to cover all the wood you need.
