GK Bali Resort

The GK Bali Resort offered us a 5 stars experience from check in to check out, with an unbeatable price/quality ratio, and we have a significant experience of 5 star hotels across the world. Set in a beautiful environment, away from the ubud fake-hype (but with free daily shuttle service), in the more authentic area of Sebatu/Tegalalang, the peaceful and human-size property has an incredible staff, very welcoming, proactive, efficient and responsive, that really makes you spend an excellent stay. The view from the infinity pool is amazing, particularly at dusk, very relaxing, and we were not annoyed by the nearby construction. Pool is long and deep enough to swim (1.4m or 1.5m), with a more shallow area for kids, and with a very soft and clean water with no chlorine smell, plus a Jacuzzi. Rooms are large, nicely decorated with Indonesian touches, good aircon and efficient fridge. Everything was very clean. They used our breakfast time to clean the room, so once you go back to your room, everything is tidy with a very pleasant jasmine smell. We used the house laundry service that was very efficient (can't remember if it was same day or next day service, but it was fast). They count by piece but at a reasonable price (5k IDR for a t shirt). They provide scooter rental service. The restaurant was very good, with freshly homemade dishes from breakfast to dinner (we are French gourmets). Price are fair and not overcharged, both for food and drinks. Multiple breakfast options enable variety throughout the stay. We tried a lunch in another nearby restaurant that was rated 4.9 with excellent reviews as well on Google, but it was far below the quality offered by the GK restaurant. This was so good that we had dinner onsite every night of our stay.

In short, we had an amazing stay and would love to make the GK Bali Resort our 'every week end' escape. Unfortunately, we live 12 000km away...

We had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing stay at the villa with private pool. Staff always has a smile on their face, polite and friendly. The rooms were spacious, clean and nil insects despite being admist nature. It was quiet and private. The area was absolutely beautiful. They also gave us a wedding cake, bathtub of flowers, congratulations note..it was all a pleasant surprise and lovely personalised touch. Breakfast was a spread! Extensive menu that takes into account of different dietary habits. There's afternoon tea too!

The pool is great! Staff is really nice

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and offers barely any activities. The rooms have no privacy, the restaurant can look right into your bathroom!
