A reasonably nice stay

The studio apartment is located in the centre of Rouen, next to a main subway station, which makes it excellent accessibility-wise. The place was exactly as described on Booking, without any unpleasant surprises.

Firstly, the noise from the busy central street and/or from the bars/restaurant situated very close to the building can get annoying, but it is expected, having the location. Secondly, the bathroom facilities (hand soap, shower gel, etc.) were almost empty as I arrived, which was an inconvenience the first evening. Finally, having the noise insulation of the building, you have to rely on luck for not having annoying neighbours (in my case it was almost reasonable). As a side remark, just don't get discouraged by the look of the interior stairway, since there is a major disparity between this and how the studio looks like.

The host was very accommodating and brought me a portable fan as there is no air-con. They even were flexible to give me a later check out time so that I could try to visit the art museum before I left town. I really enjoyed the view and loved looking out on the city from the window.

Super room and location (but could be noisy). Great value but building work still on-going

I had great difficulty finding this property because the photo was completely misleading. It showed a picture of the Palais de Justice, not the property. I spent over an hour looking for it. It ended up being a non-descript doorway with absolutely nothing to indicate that this was the entrance to the property. Once in the room, however, it was lovely - a lovely soft bed, a large bathroom and a small kitchenette. A brilliant location right in the centre of town.

The building seemed to be in the process of renovation. The entrance hall was littered with building materials, thr narrow spiral stairs had electric cables hanging over them. It seemed that only the third floor was habitable which proved quite a challenge as the stairs were narrow and spiral, so large bags would have been a problem. I'm sure that once the building work is finished this property will be highly desirable, however, it was noisy at night as it was right next to the metro and in the centre of the city.

Location of the apartment is excellent. Apartment was clean. Host is very nice and responsive to all the queries. All other things are available in the apartment. Recommended for best view of Palais de Justice

Its summer time and the temperature in the afternoon is higher than usual time. Small Fan is required in the apartment.
