Excellent place to visit Mastricht and Achen. Would recommend, especially if better beds!

Location was excellent, we were staying for the Andre Rieu concerts and this was perfect, in fact some performers were on site. We got off to a poor start when we arrived as car parking was a problem. Clearer signage telling us to park in the field would have helped instead of remarks like dont leave the car there etc. Same with the keys, we were told on booking form a lock box but in fact it was an important man (had a clipboard) who gave us the keys Apartment was great, clean and tidy made a good first impression. Nearby town had great restaurants and Lidl was handy for breakfast bits. Nice restaurants as well, look out for parking regs.

Beds were in need of an overhaul. The mattresses were on top of an older mattress and slid during the night. Really does need modern beds! Should have a warning about stairs, we managed but anybody less fit than us (79 years old with dodgy Knees was our oldest) would really struggle.

Voortdurend gekrijs van hanen, onhygiënisch overal uitwerpselen op het terrasmeubilair en wasruimte

De hoeve is mooi landelijk gelegen

1. Onhygiënische omstandigheden De wasruimte van de accommodatie werd gedeeld met hanen en kippen. Binnen bevond zich een wasmachine en linnengoed dat kennelijk voor de verhuur gebruikt werd. Het beddengoed lag los in een blauwe tas direct naast kippenvoer, stro, mest en andere vervuiling. Dit is niet alleen onhygiënisch, maar ook zeer onprofessioneel en absoluut onacceptabel in een verhuuraccommodatie. 2. Ernstige en continue geluidsoverlast Er lopen minimaal 50 hanen vrij rond op het terrein. Op het terrein bevinden zich ca. 5 kippenrennen waarvan enkele ook direct in de nabijheid van de gastenverblijven. Dit is een absurdistische situatie die je niet kunt voorzien bij de boeking van deze accommodatie Deze hanen maken de hele dag en nacht door een hard, doordringend gekrijs tegen elkaar op. Het gekraai is continu en begint al in de vroege ochtend. Het is onmogelijk om tot rust te komen in of rondom de woning. Laat staan s’nachts fatsoenlijk te slapen. Daarnaast lopen steeds in groepjes van hanen rond en ook zitten ze op het terrasmeubilair, die voor de gastenverblijven geplaatst zijn in de binnentuin waar zij uitwerpselen achterlaten, wat het gebruik ervan onhygiënisch maakt. Wij waren genoodzaakt om meerdere malen van het terras meubilair de uitwerpselen te verwijderen. Zo smerig. Die dieren horen niet in de nabijheid van de gastenwoningen 3. Onvriendelijke gastvrouw Toen ik de situatie aankaartte bij de gastvrouw was geen enkele bereidheid om naar mijn klachten te luisteren, laat staan tot een oplossing te komen. Ook smeet de gastvrouw een emmer water over de barbecue, omdat wij wat houtjes hadden gepakt om onze eigen meegebrachte houtskool op te starten
