Chambers Place

It was well equipped in a lovely setting. The bed and pillows were comfortable and they provided aircon, which was much appreciated during an extreme heatwave! They also let us use the other room for our teenage daughter. A generous breakfast was provided.

Could have had some decaf coffee - instant would be fine.

The location was fantastic. We needed to get to Henley on Thames early both mornings and Chambers Place was less than 30 minutes away. Breakfast was exceptional with lots of cereal to choose from. The owner is very approachable and helpful.

There was nothing to dislike

Spacious main bedrrom/ sitting room with small kitchenette facility. Nice continental breakfast. All very clean. Peaceful location. Very good value for the price.

No negatives - it is a nice apartment. Just to note however that the sloping ceilings (attic style) could be challenging for a very tall person

This was a loft conversion in a country property. The name "Garden View" was accurate, as the windows show a sweep of green space all around. There was a friendly welcome from the owner, and it was nice that we were free to walk round many parts of the property. The bed was very comfortable, and things were very quiet overnight - so much better than a city centre hotel. There is a really good fish & chip shop and a well-stocked Co-Op within easy walking distance.

As a loft conversion, headroom is rather lacking except in the very middle of the main room. It was just about OK for me at 6 feet, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're 6 foot 3. Perhaps it's my fault, but when I read "has kitchenette", I assumed there would at least be a means of frying an egg - but you get a sink, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. Lastly, the apartment is right above the owner's TV lounge - which they have on all evening. Either the soundproofing is not so good or they like a high volume, so it's a bit intrusive. But happily it was turned off about 21:30 both nights we were there.
