Tilas - Rooms in 19th Century Wooden Townhouse,Kadikoy

Lovely hosts, great location and very tidy house! We loved Kadiköy and it's less touristy hustle and bustle.

The house is super cute but everything is a bit small.

Above all, the owners are very friendly and communication was excellent, quick to respond to questions and proactive to requests or needs. Convenient location (metro line to SAW airport, Hava airport bus to IST, ferry piers, Söğütlüçeşme station for trains across Türkiye), near great restaurants and cafes. Small but super clean, well equipped and very functional kitchen and sitting area. The room that I had was small (2 single beds in bunk format) but also very clean and functional, with two large windows to allow light and air. The owners are well travelled and know what travellers want and need. Small details in the room were much appreciated: task lighting and charging station near the bed, a rack with hangars for clothes, a table and chairs, storage cabinet. The shower had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. Having access to a washing machine and drying rack that could be used in the room was a real bonus after weeks of travel.

I enjoyed seeing another side of Istanbul that felt authentic to my previous stays in Sultanahmet. Staying in a heritage property that was so well appointed was special. Communication with the owner was seamless, helpful and friendly. Good food & bar options. Loved the furniture and wall painting decoration.

While facilities in the kitchen were fantastic, it was on the bottom floor and I was three flights up at the top with a balcony. Having a kettle in the room and some tea bags would have been nice.

Amazing room, very artistic and very clean. Staying at Tilas House No:8 made the experience of travelling to Istanbul very unique. Emre and his wife are making great job, they are very kind and warm hosts. Don't miss the opportunity to stay at this lovely place!
