The Boato Hotel

Amazing location, lots of privacy and stunning views. Very good service and the room service being included was the cherry on top. All the staff are helpful and kind.

Road to the hotel is too bumpy. There could be better deck chairs for the balcony and a little table for the bath. Those are nitpicky details though, it was lovely.

Definitely the highlight of our trip! Its a gorgeous hotel with an amazing view! They have great food and the staff is very nice and helpful. Definitely recommend!

It was not a bad problem for us, but the room didnt have air conditioning, so it was very warm from 14:00 to 17:00. Best is to stay outside the room furing that time.

We had a wonderful stay at Boato Hotel in Guatapé! The room was fantastic, beautiful, and very comfortable, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional open-air massage by the lake—such a peaceful, relaxing, and unforgettable experience in a stunning setting. We would definitely love to come back. Highly recommended!

However, there are a few things that could be improved. The rooms really need air conditioning, as the heat can become unbearable during the day. It would also be helpful to install mosquito screens on the doors and windows so that guests can leave them open without letting insects inside. Finally, more comfortable outdoor chairs would make it much easier to relax and enjoy the magnificent lakeside setting. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would be happy to return!

The setting. In a beautiful area. The concept of having private cabins out of sight of each other with beautifil views of the lake from your deck. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good.

Publicity for this "hotel" needs to be more honest and be clear on the accesibility. Reception/restaurant area is at the top of a hill. The cabins are spread around a pretty steep hillside down to the lake shore. Vehicles cannot get past reception so heavy bags etc need to be physically manhandled including use of a little atv and some strong hotel workers. But you still have to walk down, and more importantly back up, to reception and your vehicle. This is not possible for people with mobility or health issues. Our cabin had no cieling fan, no aircon and no mosquito net. We had a small table top fan which sadly had very little effect on the afternoon heat. If you chose to leave windows and doors open in the evening and night, you had insects flying around. We only booked one night so probably did not get to take advantage of the watersports facilities on offer. Probably this is for younger people on a few days break, to make the most of the surroundings. Be careful if you drive in with a normal car because there are some very uneven surfaces on the track.
