The area was very beautiful, it was like our own personal paradise. The cabanas that we stayed in were very secluded and felt as if we had the entire area to ourselves. The staff was amazing and very responsive to any of our needs. The restaurant was amazing whether you wanted to dine in or have deliveries to your Cabana. Everything was always delicious and quickly prepared with much care.Transportation around the property and the free breakfast buffet were much appreciated. The whole time was worry free.

The only downside to our stay was the wifi in our cabana not working and trying to use the next closest network which was very weak. The Jacuzzi wasn't prepared prior so when we wanted to get in there wasn't any power, a quick conversation with facilities and it was ready for us very quickly.

The location, views, and patio are truly amazing. The cabana itself is spacious and the living area is great for multiple guests. You overlook Embalse Peñol-Guatapé and from our view you could see piedra del Peñol. The staff shuttling you around in tuk tuk's are wonderful and work very hard to help you get around the property. The restaurant had good food, drinks, and the staff was very pleasant.

I'll take full responsibility for not doing as much research as I should have prior to booking this property. We got caught up in the pictures & were very surprised by a handful of things I would highly encourage you to consider prior to booking. The cabanas are spread out from the main facilities being the restaurant and hotel/pool. You have two options to get around - walk about 10-15 minutes through a hilly environment or rely on the tuk tuk drivers to come pick you up and shuttle you around. While the rooms are gorgeous, they have no AC. AC would have been nice during the day but the nights are cool enough where this wasn't the end of the world. The windows have no screens and thus we had lots of bugs coming in as we were trying to cool down and sleep. There were two bottles of water provided upon check-in, if you wanted more they told you to go to the restaurant. They provided us with two pods of coffee, it was decaf, when asked for caffeinated we were told, again, to go to the restaurant. There is a hotel on the same property called The Brown, when you check in they notified us they had a pool but to our surprise it was $25/person for the day to access even when we came at 4pm. Again i'll take responsibility for not doing enough research and if my Spanish was better we might have had an easier time understanding the in's and out's but we had a difficult time getting a handle of this place.
