Let me just say that this was the absolute highlight of our 2 weeks in Italy. Our stay here wasn’t planned but Gianmarco and his team made this happen for a family of 5 in the last minute. The team spent the time with me on mapping out Matera on where to go as well as the restaurants to hit. This town was unbelievable. Some could say it was a scene from biblical times. The people were friendly, food was top shelf. And Gianmarco let us use the garage to store our vehicle which was HUGE since parking seems to be a challenge in every city in Italy.
We liked everything about this property. No complaints.

Our room was nice, but “luxury” is a stretch.
The staff member who met us at the property was friendly at first, but while we were out sight seeing, texted me some very angry texts accusing me of locking an exterior door (which I hadn’t) and it was very aggressive and insulting. He apologized later, but at that point he’d made me feel pretty insulted. I think they have a poor system of meeting guests for check in.
