Marilu's, Paxos Port House

Beautifully decorated apartment in the perfect location — just minutes from coffee shops, restaurants, and bars. The beds were very comfortable, nice hot shower, fully equipped kitchen and the lovely terrace was a great place to relax. It had everything we needed for a great stay and the host was very communicative. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Gaios and hope to return. Thank you!

The location was perfect, just back from the beautiful port with an amazing view of the sea each morning. Very covenient to shops, restaurants and bars -- nice bustle, but not noisy. Loved sitting and eating at the outside patio. Great to have a washing machine and line for drying. Swinging chair was a nice touch! Marilu and Frank were very good hosts -- we especially appreciated being able to leave our bags for a few hours after checkout.

The property is a lovely renovation of a traditional building, but a little smaller than I expected for the price -- although the price probably reflects the amazing location and the cleaning service. The back bedroom is a bit dark, but the front bedroom is bright and spacious. On a minor note, we would have preferred an ordinary cafetiere/coffee machine -- not a fan of the coffee from pods (but I know others may feel differently).

This flat was swept and cleaned every couple of days which we liked. It is very central to the port of Gaios. It is quite near to a noisy bar. But if you rely on the air conditioning without opening the veranda doors you should manage to sleep. The bar was only noisy on a few occasion though.

The hosts were not keen to meet greet us in person, which was a big difference to what we were used to from many Greek holidays. We only met the husband of owner after we had to chase the owner for a repair to the shower unit, which was quite tacky. They were nice about this but communication could have been better and we had to wait our first morning in the flat for a plumber who then didn't come on time as arranged the previous evening. However when we returned in the afternoon to the flat the husband was replacing the shower unit and we were happy about this. Although the flat is basically clean the kitchen was dated and the tiny tiny bathroom dingy. There were quite a few cockroaches scuttling around the kitchen and sitting area. The decor has a 'one size fits all Euro look', and lacked the Greek character we were use to on other islands.
