Lovely location for camping with families and friends. Bedding not provided in cabins, but can hire.

Bedding not provided in cabins and hired sleeping bags can hardly fit you through legs and they were smelling bad. I was expecting the reception to respond to calls. I called many times, but no one was available to pick up the call at reception.

Expensve, Desturbed, unrested and uneasy. But the staff, parking and location was great.

I loved the location. Parking was plentyfull, and the staff were real helpful and friendly. But unfortunately that's all I can say on a positive note.

The fact that there were no refreshments. You had to pay for everything. Considering I had paid £40 for one night, I would at least expect some condiments. Stuff like a cup of tea or Coffey, perhaps even some little snack. The other tenants were rood and extremely noisy. I was woken up at 1-2am with people arriving late, in the unit I was in. There was no consideration whatsoever. Clearly they had not been informed that the cabin was occupied and should there for be advised to maintain to be as quiet as possible.

Family fun in a relaxed setting

Really fun place to stay. A bit like camping in that you share facilities but have the warmth and convenience of a room and bed with electricity. Staff are there if you need them but leave you to get on with it. Lovely walk in the woods and surrounding farmland. We saw rabbits, bats, field mice and the usual cows and horses.

A great place!

I booked the trip last minute, and I’m so glad I did! The site is in a great location for exploring the wider area and day trips to the beach. The tent was clean and had four mattresses, which myself and my children found comfortable. The communal area is fab, the fridge, microwave, kettle and bbq etc meant that preparing and storing food is really easy, something I was worried about, as I’m not a regular camper with all of the kit. My children loved the football table, which is also in the communal area. There is also an area where you can buy snacks/coffee and borrow books. The showers were lovely and warm and the site was kept really clean and tidy. The staff were all really helpful and kind, and we had a tour when we arrived, which was really nice as I wasn’t expecting one and it helped us to feel very welcome.

Friendly staff, great location, clean toilets/shower block. Lovely grassy areas to explore. Main shared areas were clean and nice and open.

Our dorm smelt quite damp- but then it was pouring with rain. Our door didn’t have a lock on which didn’t feel secure especially traveling as a young family.

Very good

The property itself was basic and what you would expect from camping/hostel type accommodation. We stayed in a 12 person dorm which was clean and adequate and relatively comfortable. The toilets, showers, communal area and breakfast room were all clean and comfortable and well prepared for basic needs. We personally adored this site and the European camping/hostel feel it has. The grounds of the site itself are beautiful and the children loved the relaxed atmosphere and freedom it allowed. Our kids tried the zip lining and tree top ropes and loved the experience. The activities are relatively cheap and very professionally run. The staff are confidence encouraging with kids and really promote them to achieve and enjoy the activity. Our dog was also very welcome on site and thoroughly enjoyed his stay and left over bbq too! What we would say is the no. 1 reason to book X Adventure is the staff. Clare, Cat and Sam were all amazing, happy, lively, friendly and chatty and always on hand to offer local advice and site guidance. They all seem to love their jobs and it really shows and gives the place a lovely happy atmosphere. The site is under relatively new management and I look forward to seeing how it evolves when we revisit in coming years.

Nothing to dislike just a few points on things we would love to see on this site in the future: Small snack shop for the kids More signage and sayings and a guest wall for guests to write messages (clean!) A ‘please use’ area and fridge so people can leave what they don’t use for others to use. Some local maps with points of interest and beautiful beaches. A few board games/ packs of cards Some friendly sheep A returning guest discount scheme! My husband said a hot tub and wet t-shirt competition but I shall ignore that suggestion! :0)

We had a most enjoyable 2 night stay, the facilities were very good and the staff we helpful and always around if you needed anything. Everywhere was clean and tidy and the kettle, large fridge and toaster in the shared BBQ area were an added bonus Thank you

Very friendly staff, very helpful, decent amenities caters well for all, stayed in the cabins which were basic but decent especially with a 1 Yr old. Loads of room on site not overcrowded with nice lakes and woods on site aswell. Definitely stay again

Amazing and felt we had a proper break over 4 nights.

We loved the attention to detail, such as the extra radiator in our room and we were toasty warm. Everything was so clean and we enjoyed a peaceful stay, making use of the on-site barbeque, and just keeping ourselves to ourselves. The bunk room we stayed in was comfortable and close to toilets and showers - a quick hop across the gravel path. The showers were lovely and hot and the water pressure was great. It was also lovely hearing the owl hoot at night and everything about this place was so calm and relaxed. The staff we saw were friendly and helpful, and were always available if we needed. This was our second visit and proved to be an amazing escape yet again. Thank you.

It’s a great little area, kids can play on the grass area, nice sitting area, fridge, BBQ etc. Very secure. + it’s got an amazing fist and chip shop

Pleasant

Location was good, a little hard to find, down a pot-holey lane but overall it was fine. It suited our needs for a couple of nights. Loved hearing the sounds of nature at night, plus a good view of the stars on a clear night. Loved the chickens onsite too! Remember to take plenty of torches/lights if staying in a tent plus bedding
