Wouldn’t recommend; you can probably do better somewhere else.

The location was excellent— near most of the sites in Lucca and near many cafes and restaurants. We were also able to put our luggage in the apartment before we were able to check in. Communication was excellent. The place was clean.

It was not an inexpensive apartment and we just felt it was poor value for the money. No common area except for the kitchen— no living room. Nothing in the kitchen other than cold water in the refrigerator. No coffee, no tea—nothing. No soap or shampoo in the bathroom. Minimal towels. No information about WiFi. For as much as we paid they could have been a little generous with the “extras”.

Nice location, but we will stay elsewhere on our annual trips to Lucca

Location was perfect. Very quiet.

Kitchen facilities very lacking. When we arrived, I discovered there was no washing machine as had been indicated on Booking.com (see screenshots dated 7/20/25 below). When I asked the host, I was told that there was nothing online about a washing machine and that I could find a coin operated washeteria in the center. When I said it was listed as an amenity, the response was “No, unfortunately it is not written.” As I was exchanging messages with the host, I took the screenshots below. The washing machine references have since been deleted, but they were clearly there when I booked and when I arrived. We had saved up our dirty laundry for Lucca. But that’s not the issue. The issue is the argument from the host.

lucca central, good for couple on the go, not staying in.

location central close to train station, ground floor. Tv in everyroom Restaurants& sights close by. Very clean. Great for 2 couples , or family to sleep in and get out and go.

odd space to live in. Kitchen would be tight for 4 people. I believe it states it has a view ,view is of a parking lot on one side or back of a church(minor issue)

Quiet, clean, spacious apartment for our family. Bathroom and kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable Close to all the sights in Lucca and some great restaurants, cafes and gelaterias nearby.

The apartment was very clean and the host very accommodating with check-in and out times. Like most anything in Lucca, is was easy to access all the sites and shopping within the city from the apartment..

The only surprise was the lack of a common living room in the apartment. It is well appointed but has only two bedrooms, a bath, and a kitchen with table and chairs.

Great experience

We loved the house: ground floor, nice shared kitchen but no living room. The rooms were spacious. Nice welcoming and kind owners who gave us lots of tips and made our experience in Lucca better (we rented bikes and went to the recommended restaurant).

The beds can be upgraded a bit, but they were ok.

Exceptional

When I booked the place, I was not sure what I was paying for, because there are not many photos on Booking with the apartment. I was surprized when I arrived and it was over my expectations. It is a very nice and large apartment, with 2 bedroms (one with double bed and one with 2 twin beds + sofa), one kitchen and a bathroom. Both bedrooms and the kitchen have TV's. The apartment is in a very quiet area, there was perfectly silence over the night. It is on the ground floor and this is a plus, because there is no elevator in the building (we had a large and heavy luggage and a baby stoller). It is very good located and just on the street in the back of the apartment, there are 2 very good restaurants.

Shower not clean, the bed mattress was too hard, the double bed creaked and the bedding and pillows had a dark smell. The hosts does not speak english and it was really hard to understand each other.

Molto bello, bravi.

Usciti dall'autostrada ho avvisato che stavamo arrivando, giunti al numero civico è uscito un ragazzo molto simpatico che ci ha accolto e illustrato l'appartamento. L'appartamento e dotato di due camere da letto molto ampie, un bagno spazioso, corridoio ed una cucina completa di tutto l'occorrente, il tutto molto pulito e ben curato. Se l'anno prossimo torneremo a visitare Murabilia sicuramente prenoterò di nuovo il Lodge.
